Rock concerts in Stockholm 1980-81
Back in 1980-81, Thomas Hagstrom was lucky enough to attend two concerts at the Gota Lejon in Stockholm, Sweden. One was AC/DC on November 20, 1980, just a few months after Brian Johnson took over for Bon Scott. The other was Iron Maiden on September 8, 1981 on the Killer Tour. He snapped a number of photos at each show just like any fan would, back when photos were encouraged & people with cameras were allowed to get closer to the bands.

Fast forward nearly 30 years. Hagstrom finds the negatives to these photos & negatives while cleaning his basement and this book is born. These photos offer a glimpse into a different time, back when security was at a minimum and passion was at a maximum.
"The Gota Lejon cinema was inaugurated in January 1927. The seating capacity was 1300 including 500 on the balcony. During the early eighties it was used for concerts. Those were exciting years.
Many post-punk rock and heavy metal bands played there.
"The stage setups were plain and simple - the focus was on the music itself."
This photo book offers a brief look into 2 shows from, what were at the time, rising stars. They were well on their way to international fame at the time, and it is mostly due to shows like these; small venues with rabid fans, playing thier hearts out.
This book is an extremely limited edition of only 500 numbered copies. It is a hard-cover and contains well over 75 photos between the 2 bands, and is only being sold on acdcmachine.com. Get your copy today!
