Well, if you have a dvd player that can play DivX files, you have half of the battle removed. Just burn the avi's to a "Data DVD" and then pop it into your player. If your player can't do this...then I'm no good here. I know how to do it only the data route and the TMPGenc route.

So, your DVD player can play DivX files? Then open up your burning program, select a DVD Data Disc or something similar, and then add the files and click burn.

Do you have a DVD authoring program? Like TMPGenc? Cause you'll need something similar to that. I've only done a (high quality, I swear...) DivX -> DVD conversion, and I think I did it like this: Open TMPGeng 4 Express Drag the file(s) in Do the editing of the clips themselves (like cropping) Choose export settings Click export Wait... Wait... Go into the DVD authoring program Do whatever you do in there. (It's been a while since I've even made a dvd from scratch) There's also a horribly technical how-to on doom9.net:

Cliff. You actually donīt need to convert anything. If your DVD player is compatible with DivX files, you can just burn a CD or DVD and pop it in your player. Thatīs what I have done. I know most new DVD players are compatible with almost every format. (DivX, MPEG, MOV and so on)

Find TMPGenc 4.0 Xpress (um...you can find it through Google) and TMPG DVD Author (once again, Google, or both through *other* means) and then when you are finished with all that stuff, in the DVD Author, make it create a "DVD Folder" with the VIDEO_TS and .ifo files and such, then burn it using Nero's "Burn DVD Video Files" function. Sorry I can't seem to be more help, but I haven't really made a DVD in a while. What type of DVD player do you have? I can look it up and tell you if you can skip all the above bullshit.
