Hi, I am trying to find someone who has a DVD of the August 3, 2000 show at the Palace of Auburn Hills. I was 3rd row at this show and it would really mean a lot to me if I could get my hands on this DVD. I just found out that there is footage of this show, & I would love to get a hold of it.....thanks in advance. Marc

Guess what? I have it. It currently exists as VOB files on my other computer's HDD. This listing here describes the disc pretty well. Although I'm not so sure I'd call mine fair. If you want, I could see what I could do about getting a copy to you.

Thanks so much, can you please explain VOP files to me? I would really appreciate your help.

VOB files are the files that are the DVD. Some people (like myself) refer to VOB files not on a DVD as either a VIDEO_TS folder/DVD folder/VOB files. I just gotta make sure that the disc has chapter splits done right. I don't have the software to "author" DVDs anymore thanks to a computer crash about a year back. But if you want me to send you a copy, just send me a PM.

GoZone, I was at this show as well and I have a copy of it on dvd. I believe it is the same one that Nate has which is the stage right version. Do you have anything to trade as far as AC/DC dvd's or any other bootleg hard rock band dvd's? I am guessing that you are from Michigan. I live in Macomb Twp.. Let me know.

But I just found out after I burned it and tried to play it on my DVD player, the disc is a PAL format disc. I played it in VLC (mighty powerful, but small media player, better than Windows Media Player in a lot of respects) and took a screenshot and it had a vertical resolution of 576 pixels. I did not make the disc, all I did was burn the files to it. One thing I can't grasp is why there are so many North American and United States concerts that are authored as PAL discs. NTSC is the North American/Japanese format, PAL is the European format (plus a lot of the rest of the world). Wikipedia's articles on PAL and NTSC.

Maybe that is the case. But for the ones taped by people from here in North America, why are they still in PAL. Even the famous Japan 1981 concert is in NTSC, and looks great in it due to Japan using it.
