Super Pop 76! from Rollin Bolin Question
Riff Raff, This new 10 inch vinyl that is being advertised has me confused. We have always known there to be 3 tracks with the 3rd track being Jailbreak but this says Baby, Please Don't Go is the 3rd track. Is this a new uncovered track that no one has had before? Please explain. Thanks
Now that you mention it Scotty, that is true. I only have Live Wire, Can I Sit Next to You & Jailbreak on my digital copies as well.
Maybe they performed more songs than we thought. But yeah... Plug Me In = Live Wire and Can I Sit Next To You Girl (with some potential editing) I also have a version of Jailbreak that has the studio audio dubbed over it.
devils advocate time again people !!! but as Trav so succinctly pointed out, this new boot has EXACTLY the same running list as trax 5,6 & 7 offa Plug Me In. Ive surfed the net n checked all the literature i have access to and no mention was made of BPDG, we awwait to be enlightened, but personally im kinda feeling wary
Nightprowler, Can you please address this issue concerning your latest bootleg for sale? Is the 3rd track Jailbreak or truly Baby, Please Don't Go from Rollin' Bolan? Thanks. Awaiting your explanation.
Rapidshare.com Here's a link to the aforementioned mp3 of Jailbreak. I will be getting the rip of the video up in a few.
And like I promised...the studio-version dubbed video. Rapidshare.com Maybe someone with good video editing software (like maybe Final Cut on the Mac?) can try and re-dub the video to make it truly live again.
just got a note from nightprowler asking me to clarify. I'll post something shortly once I read over his answer.
Nate, So what's the verdict on the Baby, Please Don't Go vs. Jailbreak Rollin' Bolan question?
sorry guys, had some stuff come up and never got back to the topic. the baby please don't go track appears to be from the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne '76 and was a mistake by the guy who put the cover art/bootleg together. I had another message from Nightprowler yesterday afternoon on MSN, but lost it when I left for home. If I hear anything else, I'll post it here.
Um, wouldn't that make this "official"? 5. Live Wire (Rollin' Bolan 76) 6. Can I Sit Next To You Girl (Rollin' Bolan 76) 7. Baby Please Don't Go (Australia 76) Of disc one of Plug Me In equals Live Wire/Can I Sit Next To You Girl (Rollin' Bolan 76) Baby Please Don't Go (Australia 76)
Hey Trav, you got Jailbreak in lossless to. I'd like to throw the video and the live audio together. I have the video from The B.S. project DVD but my lossless version of jailbreak is of much worse quality than your mp3.
If someone figures out how to properly match the live version of Jailbreak with the video portion, I would love a copy. I have been wanting this forever but the computer programs that I have, I don't think I can put this together or at least I don't know how to do it. Let me know if someone gets this done. Thanks
Sorry, don't have the live audio in lossless. I keep on thinking the mp3 is off key or something, or the video that I ripped off my copy of "The Bon Scott Project" has been edited slightly. It wasn't too uncommon in those days for bands to just play live and then the TV studio edit the video to the studio version of the track. Look at the infamous version of Touch Too Much. But I stick to my guns saying this bootleg is just a rip off, you can rip the three songs from Plug Me In.
sorry all for the late responce, but i been busier then hell with my regular job & my pyrotech job since it was the 4th of july season, nothing like things that go boom in the night, lol!!! thanks nate for posting what you said above, like i said,i just didn't have the time & sorry to all about the confusion on this 1,the guy i had press them up screwed up big time. now for my responce to this comment: "But I stick to my guns saying this bootleg is just a rip off, you can rip the three songs from Plug Me In." travis,i promised nate that i would keep it cool on the forum,so i will, but i sent you a pm with my TRUE feelins on what you said. & as for being a rip off,a rip is NOT the same thing as a vinyl record colectable,a rip is a piece of shit that cheap skates settle for,no if ,ands, or buts about it. keep your comments to yourself & there won't be any problems & leave the collectors like myself & many others like me on here alone. by the way, already have 37 of them sold between here & ebay & it's only been a week they been available, very nice start, ;-)
