So this sounds like it's the front runner for the new album title. Thoughts? AC/DC are Back in Black Ice

A little lame title I think, just doesnīt sound right for a DC album. But then again I really donīt care all too much about the title, as long as the album rocks....Which I think it will bigtime.

Could be trak title but for an album title I doubt it. The 2nd choice "Runaway Train" is even worse and does not sound AC/DC...

gotta agree with fuse here, it could be the gospel according to Ang, and i couldnt care less, you dont judge the book by the cover after all, it will be worth the wait, now for Glasgow next year, cant wait

I'm undecided, but will agree with the general public that I could care less what it's called, I just can't wait to hear it. I have to admit that 'Runaway Train' takes me back to the 90's with Soul Asylum...god I feel old.

Would prefer they went with a different title... though Black Ice may be workable, depending on other factors.

I agree with Nate about the Runaway Train / Soul Asylum reference. Black Ice is too close to Ozzy's Black Rain.

I talked to someone who works in a K-Mart, and he said that the new album will show up on their computers before it is released. Does anyone work at a K-Mart? The album cover should show up on the K-Mart website.

I keep reading about a third undisclosed title. Does anybody know anything about the name of this title?

Well, "Chain Gang On The Road" doesn't really sound like a song title Brian Johnson would write, and it was good. Maybe this will be a bit of a difference in AC/DC where they have a different sound lyrically. I mean, Brian's three songs that were in Totally Baked weren't really what we were used to, but they were good. Also, Stiff Upper Lip had a bit of a blues edge to it. So maybe AC/DC are trying a slightly different mix of blues and hard rock on this album. Maybe going back to the Powerage days?

PS: I don't think K-Mart will even have it. Mine won't for sure.

You are correct; it is WalMart. I do know a few people at my hometown WalMart.

"Black Ice" is a dumbfuck name unless they're looking to become parodies of themselves (but they accomplished that long ago - let's just hope they find themselves again while on tour playing the same 15 songs they always play + 3 others), but it's not a bad idea for the cover. Like, leave the album untitled, give it a black cover and then layer the centred AC/DC logo on it with a filter that makes it look like black ice. "It's so black, it's like how much more black could it get?" Nigel Tufnel, Spinal Tap, 1984 "Runaway Train" makes the first dumbfuck name look like something that dropped out of Einstein's ass, but if AC/DC's idiot marketing people/publicists are leaking info like that they: a) Really, really think AC/DC fans are a bunch of mullet-headed schmucks from deep in American redneck company who will cream their jeans over anything with the word AC/DC attached to it, no matter how terrible it sounds; and b) Are attempting to generate buzz and test the waters on a new album before dropping it on us. If b) is true (and I'm pretty sure "a" is, too), then their overpaid asses are doing their job somewhat successfully, as evidenced by the buzz on this site.

Well, calling it "AC/DC" would be a great idea for the album if it's to be the last album. But I came up with a good idea a while back: ACDCXV-MMVIII

I think your idea isn't too bad, Travis, although I think it's been done before.

id rather have "black ice" over "runaway train" ,but both dont sound to AC/DCish. though runaway train could possibly be a great bluesy title track

Ok bpth title are good for songs but as a titletrack, i would say the know better names. But those three titles (last name unknown) must have something that Malcom like them.

SUL reminded me of Highway to Hell and Powerage. And Brian co-wrote the CRC songs, so the titles may not have been his ideas. I believe Brian will end this weird-lyrics streak with the new album. Look at the lyrics for BUYV. Actually some intelligent stuff there. And imagine how stupid we'll feel once the album comes out and it's the same old stuff, and all this nonsense about "change" is over. Angus has said it a million times, "We ain't changin' for nobody."
