Winner gets their pick weekly - Upload #1 -
Riff Raff, OK. Many of you do not use the hub. Now that Mammoth has showed me how to use the upload portion of Rapidshare (yes, I know that it is easy folks I just never really got into it, lol), I am going to try and do a weekly or at least bi-weekly post with a bootleg link. Nate has been more than kind over the years doing a monthly BOTM, having the special give-away, making videos available and other special goodies for holidays. It is about time that the Riff Raff step up in general and get bootlegs flowing in all directions across the globe especially since soon we will be in for a new crop of AC/DC bootlegs when the boys dominate '09. Nate busts his ass for his 2 AC/DC sites and they have brought me limitless joy over the past few years. Here is all you have to do. Pick the number between 1 - 20 (including 1 and 20) that I am thinking of right now and you get your choice of whatever audio bootleg that you want as long as it is listed in Nate's concert history as having audio available and as long as I have it. I would say that I have the majority of the audio bootlegs available now so hopefully I would have your pick or at least one in your top 3 requests. So, you have a 5% chance of getting to pick the bootleg. You only get 1 chance to post your # guess below this post. If you are the winner, then I will make the link for your request so the winner AND the rest of the Riff Raff can enjoy another bootleg from the greatest band in the history of music. The trading community rules!!!!! Good luck!!!!
7 Jul 20, 1980 Ft. Williams Gardens, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada
15 January 12, 1996 -- Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, NC, USA
Sorry #7 and # 15 are NOT correct so those numbers are deleted. I do have 1/12/96 as a possible bootleg if someone else wins and wants to pick it but 7/20/80 is not a bootleg Nate lists as having an audio boot. There are some boots I have at home that I haven't burned yet that are not on my master spreadsheet yet and the audio might not necessarily be listed on Nate's site but I don't think 7/20/80 is one of them but I will check when I get home from work. C'mon Riff Raff. Let's get a winner. Pick 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Sorry made a mistake. Nate does say audio exists but he doesn't have it for 7/20/80. I will double check when I get home like I said. Sorry, I usually look for the bootleg link emblem instead of the audio exists emblem.
11 August 17, 1991 -- Castle Donington, Donington, England VHS Rip if possible
11 is not correct and eliminated. I made the Donington audio bootleg a long time ago and I believe that I used the VHS version originally so that is a possibility for a pick.
oh shoot I lost. But I hope it is the VHS version.
I'm pretty sure it is. Worse comes to worse, I could make an audio rip since I have the VHS and DVD versions. It would take awhile but I would do it if this is the winner's pick.
I´ve make a audio rip of the DVD version. The VHS version is still better.
9 Um, something soundboard from the 1979 tour.
#9 is not correct. Sorry. Riff Raff, Pick from Pick 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 Your odds have increased from 5% to 6.25%
As i see every user could vote one time.
Well that's a good idea acdc74. Never tought helping you with uploading would lead to a BOTW. :-) My choice: 13 Malmoe 1988-03-19 Thank you.
Mammoth barely beat me with 13 I'll change my number to 4
Here's a way you could do this where it'd be better organized... Start a Blogspot account and upload the bootlegs to Rapidshare and post the link on it...and use this thread as the drawing thread, that way for those who don't care about entering, but just want the bootlegs, you could point them to the Blogspot link.
Nic, I believe Aragon 78 is actually Comisky Park 78.
Riff Raff, Pick from 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 I checked and I do NOT have 7/20/80. I also do not have 3/19/88 Malmo or 9/22/78 Aragon but Comisky Park 8/5/78 I have. Travishayes, I don't know what a blogspot account is and I am already a busy enough guy so I'll stick with this method. Thanks
Thanks for the information about the 78 Aragon. I didn't know that it was Comisky
DING DING DING..........We have a winner. #19 Erudite gets to pick a bootleg as long as I have it. Give 3 possibilities just in case I don;t have your #1 pick. Going with one of my all time idols Mr. Steve Yzerman #19 from the Detroit Red Wings before he retired. For the record twood (long time, no talk by the way), I do have April 8, 1988 so that is a possibility if Erudite picks it.
I've sent my selection(s). I hope nobody is disappointed. If you are, well, there's always next week.
Thanks for taking the initiative Scotty, it's always good to get more shows spread around.
Erudite, Feel free to share your selection(s) with us. This could give us ideas for next weeks!
Erudite and Riff Raff, Here is the winner's first pick - June 14, 1991 -- Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, CA, USA. A concert that Erudite attended so it is always fun to get one from a show that you had seen. Thanks go out to my friend Exodus676 (Rudy from Germany) for hooking me up with this bootleg in the first place. You rule buddy! For the record, Erudite's other picks were #2 Feb. 3, 1996 which I believe that I do NOT have and #3 April 8, 1988 which I do have. Here is part 1. Part 2 will be posted soon. 1991-06-14 - Mountain View, CA, USA - Disc 1
Erudite and Riff Raff, Here is Disc 2 for June 14, 1991 -- Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, CA, USA. 1991-06-14 - Mountain View, CA, USA - Disc 2
darn i lost but theres always a next time but thanks scotty for this
Riff Raff, Also, the bootleg for 6/14/91 Brian says Shoreline during The Jack and at the end of FTATR. I had this one on my computer and I haven't burned it yet and listed to the whole concert but I did listen to these tracks just to make sure that this was the real deal.
Thanks a million. This is the first AC/DC show I saw. I was finally in high school and had the means to go see the band. I made my girlfriend drive us there four hours early because she could only afford lawn tickets and I had to be as close as possible (What a freeloader!). It was all moot, as the crowd got too rough during Shoot to Thrill and we had to move out of the front. Oh to be young again. It's just as I remember it. Thanks again - I really didn't expect this show to surface.
Thanks acdc74 for the upload and erudite for the pertinent boot pick which incidentally I did not have either. :-) Keep it going guys....
Thanks erudite for picking this one and thanks acdc74 for putting it up. Also, I have put a trade list up on rapidshare. Please take a moment to download it (Word format) and check it out. I'm looking for anything that I don't have. Thanks! http://rapidshare.com/files/136130364/AC-DC_List.rar.html
