With the new vid shoot less than a day away, I just wanted to check if anyone from the Riff Raff made the cut and will get to take part in the video. If you made it, please let us know how it goes and what it was like? I'm really looking forward to hearing about it!

If it's done anything like Thunderstruck or That's The Way I Wanna Rock 'N' Roll was, then it will be great... But if you are on this site, and you got to go, then major props to you...you were there at a momentous occasion. I just wonder if AC/DC pulled a Guns N Roses and between takes rocked the crowd like GNR did in the November Rain shoot.

a couple of stories from people who were in the studio with really juicy info: Just back in from the video shoot.....very surreal experience. Okay, so four coach loads of us were picked up outside Victoria Station and deposited at a film studio (which just looked like a big warehouse) somewhere in North London around Wembley / Uxbridge way. Lots of waiting around and then we were taken into the main studio where the stage was set up.... Stage has this industrial look and feel to it, lots of big cogs and pistons, kind of like Queen's 'The Works' Tour stage. We get a listen of the song and a practice of the chorus. The song is really good, it's very catchy and very AC/DC - you hear it once and you feel like you've always known it. The working title of it is 'Rock n Roll train' and they're expecting to release the single next month. It reminds me a lot of Highway to Hell. Starts of with a similar backbeat and tempo on the drums, then guitar, vocal, guitar, vocal, bit of a crescendo leading up to a catchy sing along chorus...which I've now forgotten...ahm something about train coming off the tracks. After we've had a listen the band come out and it's the first time I've seem them close up....they're fucking midgets, they make Dio look like a basketball player. The song and video is very much AC/DC by numbers, there's no surprises...Brian with the flat cap, Angus with the schoolboy outfit, hat and moves, and Phil Rudd being a complete miserable bastard. We did about 8 different takes with lots of waiting around and lots ot moving of cameras. It was really hot in there with the lights and pyrotechnics and everyone was jumping aroudn waving fists in the air etc. I stayed towards the back (crowd was 6 deep) as I've no real desire to be in the actual video itself. It was amazing to be so close to them. The only one who did any talking was Brian and he was very chirpy and pleasant. He said something about there being 14 or 15 songs on the new album. Lasted a couple of hours and we were sent on our way with a brown bag with sandwiches and an AC/DC T-Shirt. I still can't believe I was part of it and it's something I'll always remember... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Hi, i was there last nite it was awesome!! The new song is amazing, 'Rock n Roll Train'. They had us sing the 'running right off the track' part of the chorus which is real catchy. The band were great and took time out to sign stuff especially Brian Johnson who couldnt keep away lol!. The set looked really cool as well with all cogs and stuff moving around the stage and flames coming up. There was quite a lot of waiting around involved but it was all worth it and because of the way we had to move around and the cameras moving around too there is a great chance everyone can be seen in the final video. The band all looked fit and well with the possible exception of Phil Rudd but he was probably tired or sumthing lol!riff is great proper stop start kind of thing, typical AC/DC! i think chords are the usual A, D and G for the mucisians amongst you. Drumming sounds awesome really thumping sounds similar to the drum sound on the Darkness song 'one way ticket' which is pretty cool. Bryans voice is great on it, he sang some parts live whilst the rest of the band (except phil) mimed playing their instruments cheers

From those two things, the video sounds great. But wow...the thing about how tall AC/DC is surprised me...I've heard they are short, but didn't think they were that short.

Another thing, how much you wanna bet we get the video Tuesday? The "report" (sorry, but until I get something confirmed, it's hearsay to me) up there states they did 8 different takes. Okay, that means it could be edited the next day, and sent out to TV the following day to be released on Tuesday, when the single is. Of course, this is all theory and is based on knowledge of how video editing works. I once saw a YouTube video that was "interactive" that took over 70 hours to make. Granted that same video, if done by a crew of a few dozen people, could've been done in 35 hours theoretically. The release day will be a Tuesday for the single though, major label releases are always on Tuesdays. We get the single this week (or next, who knows, it'd make more sense to get it this week and the video be released this week as well) and then the album be able to be released in October after a couple months with a single.

Hello chaps. Just to let you know, I was lucky/stupid enough to turn up at Wilton Road on Friday, and so I got to go to the video shoot. The song kicks ass, and I've been singing it to myself all weekend. Any specific questions?

Does the Song sound like the songs on SUL or more like The Razors Edge?

Well, the "sound" is more SUL, but the song itself would probably fit better on TRE. Not a great answer, but RnR Train certainly doesn't seem to have that real radio-slick sound that's on TRE. Honestly, it's a great song, no-one will be disappointed....
