Dream AC/DC "Black Ice" Tour setlist
I did 24 songs with an intermission. I only included one from the upcoming album as we only have heard one, so adding some random ass track would serve no purpose. Rate everyone's as you see them. 1. Thunderstruck (The Razor's Edge) 2. Stiff Upper Lip (Stiff Upper Lip) 3. Rock N' Roll Train (Black Ice) 4. T.N.T. (High Voltage) 5. Beating Around the Bush (Highway to Hell) 6. Gimme a Bullet (Powerage) 7. If You Want Blood You've Got It (Highway to Hell) 8. Can't Stop Rock N' Roll (Stiff Upper Lip) 9. Shake Your Foundations (Fly on the Wall) 10. Back in Black (Back in Black) 11. Overdose (Let There Be Rock) 12. Evil Walks (For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)) ===Intermission=== 13. Girls Got Rhythm (Highway to Hell), joined on stage by Singer/Guitarist of Airbourne, Joel O'Keeffe 14. Fly on the Wall (Fly on the Wall) 15. Whole Lotta Rosie (Let There Be Rock) 16. Jailbreak ('74 Jailbreak) 17. Hells Bells (Back in Black) 18. Bonny/Let There Be Rock (Let There Be Rock)* 19. Ride On (Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap) 20. You Shook Me All Night Long (Back in Black) 21. High Voltage (High Voltage) 22. Ballbreaker (Ballbreaker) 23. Rock N' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution (Back in Black) 24. For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) (For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)) *-If you play the last chord of Bonny, pick scrape, it leads awesomely into LTBR.
Expect at least 2 other tracks from the new album.
I think what would be really cool is if AC/DC followed through on all their comments about them being an "album" band and started playing full albums in concerts, like Metallica has done with Master of Puppets. I think it would be awesome to hear an opening set of whatever, a second set of "High Voltage", "Dirty Deeds", "The Razor's Edge", "Fly On the Wall" or "Ballbreaker" (or whatever album, for that matter) and then a closing set of something like the usual TNT, High Voltage and For Those About to Rock (if they insist on following their boring old formula to some level). I think these shows would rock the asses off of anything they'd done before and would put their money where their mouths are. I mean, if they are an "album" band, then there should be no problem playing a complete album, no? They also should 100% undercut the bootleg trade by doing the Pearl Jam thing and digitally recording each show and selling them for $10 after the show or on their website. The money, positive publicity and pure fan love they would rake in with a move like that would overwhelm anything they had ever done before for themselves and their fans.
Airbourne are cheap ass hacks. They're like what AC/DC would sound like if Stevie Young got together with Dave Evans and Simon Wright to form an AC/DC cover band, only with less integrity and talent. I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to see them jam with AC/DC. I believe it would be wrist-cuttingly bad.
wouldnt worry to much notangus, Airbourne are at least proficient at what they do, and WAAAAY better than 99.99% of the shit new bands are coming out with nowadays. BUT as opposed to Mal,Angus N Bon jamming onstage with others, i.e. Rose Tattoo,Cheap Trick,Trust & the Stones,or Brian with Jackyl &Twisted Sister when have you ever heard of AC/DC EVER allowing anyone onto THEIR stage? TICK
On a comment on notangus saying that it will be nice to do songs from every album. 1)Will not happen 2)I've waited 7 years for a new tour and i want the usual songs + 1 or 2 from the new album and the usual 2-3 forgotten songs and now resurrected (preferably from Powerage). If the tour was 2-3 years from the previous then they could do some songs but now.... Also the bootleg thing is simple....AC/DC don't haunt down bootlegers and a big F%CK to Metallica$h.
airbourne.. i bought their album... half of it is alright, the rest is terrible.. sounds like pop music.. think SHERBET mixed with MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE the rest of the setlist is fine but no airbourne on stage.. it would wreck highway to hell so bad..
btw, that digital recording thing is a really fuckin sweet idea.
I hope to catch them on tour. I don't really have expectations as far as the setlist is concerned, but I'd like them to play at least 4-5 new songs plus Heatseeker and a few more songs from Blow up your video... Oh, and Hard as a rock too!
