early ac/dc
Hi im interested in some of the early ac/dc stuff that is pre bon scott 1973 stuff. I wanna know if someone can email me some good quality audio bootlegs. im new and could be interested in trading so you can email me at: khunn@comcast.net
You won't find any pre 1973 AC/DC stuff because AC/DC didn't even exist until 1974
ive got a few recordings of there rehearsals in late 73 plus about 10-20 full shows from there very first tour including the full version of there very first gig on 31st of dec 1973 if your interested hail hail..................davidceltic
Wow davidceltic, that sounds like some pretty rare stuff! Where did you manage to find those? The hub?
davidceltic, you said that the first gig wasnt recorded....... if you have it, i would be VERY interested in trading.
david celtic, You make me laugh. Good one!! April Fools Day was months ago.
acdc74.........so you wont be wanting any copies of the above gigs? hail hail..................davidceltic
i'm so confused.... i am pretty sure that the first gigs werent recorded. but if davidceltic says he has them.... and hes NOT joking around (hint hint), i would like copies. but if the first gig was recorded, wouldnt lots of people have it? wouldnt it be on the HUB?
I don't believe he has anyhting from 73, I would have to see it to believe it
David Celtic, I hate AC/DC. They are the worst band around. Of course I wouldn't want their first recording from Chequers. Maybe if Angus learned how to play guitar, I would want it. Maybe David Celtic is really Dave Evans or Mark Evans and recorded the shows while he was in the band. I think we have a better chance of bringing Bon back from the dead then to get these "phantom" recordings. David, I still enjoy it each time you start up controversy on here. Keep up the good work! Peace!
guys guys chill out! do you think everythings available on the hub? do you think every gig is labeled correctly? do you think mark evans played the first gig? do you think you ll ever know everything about ac/dc? do you think lossless is better than lossy? do you think world peace will ever happen? do you think this thread has come to a sudden end? hail hail..................davidceltic
I do doubt u have the first recording but if you have that early stuff i can trade. just email me at khunn@comcast.net I wont make a commotion over this, but if u have anything it would be good with me.
David Celtic, Who are you really? Larry Van Kriedt?, Rob Bailey?, Peter Clack?, Colin Burgess?, Neil Smith?, Noel Taylor? lol
In all honesty, david is a person I go to when I have questions on bootlegs & live performances. He gave me tips when I first got started, and I respect him more than you can imagine. He's been a good friend of mine for a long time now. If anyone has the early recordings, it would be him. Just so you know. Nate
Well if what Big Nate is saying is true I would be very interested in the boots but if not I just wan't some regular boots. Davidceltic you can email me at khunn@comcast.net. I didnt recive any emails yet...
BigNate, I respect David as well and he knows his shit, no doubt. However, there is no way that he has what his post said above>>> ive got a few recordings of there rehearsals in late 73 plus about 10-20 full shows from there very first tour including the full version of there very first gig on 31st of dec 1973 if your interested >>>Even if this were true, then why weren't these shared eons ago? Why would the AC/DC fanatics (riff raff) be deprived? Why wouldn't there be bootlegs somewhere with this stuff or a website mentioning the existence of these recordings? There is no way that he has this stuff and if he does, he is a god!!!!
look at it this way; people on the DC++ ac/dc hub mostly share the same shows. you rarely see somebody on the hub with a really really rare dvd. thats because, in the world of trading, when you give something, you usually wanna get something good back. also, when you give a certain show to lots of people, the value of it goes down. Now, this may sound very one sided, but think about it. Who would lie about having those shows? I trust Nate and Dave and i don't think they would lie about that type of thing. I hope that helps to explain why someone would NOT share/give-out-randomly rare stuff; ESPECIALLY that kind of material. -Dan
yea, i made the mistake of putting indianapolis 1983 in my shares and now 3 people have it. including david. but if he's interested in getting the CDR version, or any DVDs, i would love to have the debut show. but on the venue listing, it said that the first gig wasnt recorded. http://www.acdc-bootlegs.com/Forum_ReadMessages.php?messageId=876&sid=3 here, david says that none of these exist.... but the debut show isnt mentioned.
btw: if anyone has these shows, its david. the man has been in trading for a long time. 25 or 30 years is what i think he told me. so if anyone would have these, he would.
[Dan said] "I hope that helps to explain why someone would NOT share/give-out-randomly rare stuff; ESPECIALLY that kind of material." I understand not sharing it, but why bring it up out of the blue, as a response to an "ISO"(In search of)? IMO he would ask for some rare trades for it perhaps. Just my opinion :)
ok, here's the deal. I got an email from David and he's been having fun with us. He does not have the recordings, and only mentioned he did because he wanted to have a little fun and was in the joking mood. He didn't mean any harm, and didn't realize everyone would take it so seriously, so that's that. I'll let you guys get your replies in then I'll be locking this thread by the weekend. Nate
hey guys im sorry if some of you took my words to heart, i didnt mean for it to go as far i was having a pop at the guy who started the thread. if hes a real fan he knows these shows arent available! he also said he could be interested in trading could be? id cut off my left testicle for copies of these shows! hail hail...................davidceltic
David Celtic, Like I said above in my posts, "You make me laugh. Good one!! April Fools Day was months ago." "David, I still enjoy it each time you start up controversy on here. Keep up the good work! Peace!" I never believed it for a moment but I love the fact that a mere post from khunn turned into a "Hot Topic". Still laughing my ass off that so many people were freaking out. You Brits are funny! Take care
I never intended for this thread to be a "hot topic". I am new of caurse but I didn't go out and ask for the first recording. I did highly doubt the existince of the recording of the first gig. I didn't want to be the fool here but this did turn out to be kinda funny :)
Im sorry u people do think that way about me. I apologize for starting the post. I just wanted a boot from some of the early ac/dc stuff. I mean u cant blame me for being a noob. I mean everyone mustuve been a noob to in the early days, right? ......Well I consider this thread over unless any one actually have real boots? Thax anyway -- Khunn
Yeah, I'll have to admit that I ALMOST believed it, but who would tape AC/DC's first gig anyway, they were unknowns :) Damn you daidceltic! j/k :)
ok enoughs enough! your now calling me a brit! im scottish not british ;-) hail hail......................davidceltic
but celtic is the IRISH language.............................. why would you pick that as your username if your SCOTTISH?
I got Dave Evans singing tnt and l can also get the songs of him singing baby please dont go and a few other tracks with which l cant remember off the top of my head
Actually, bonscott rulz, and anyone else who doesn't know, Dave Evans singing TNT isn't anything overly rare...It's from "A Hell of a Night", an 8 song tribute to Bon Scott. I myself bought the CD, and frankly, I'm glad they kicked him out of the band...he sucks. Anyways, the track listing is as follows: 1. Can I Sit Next To You Girl 2. Rockin' In The Parlour 3. Rock 'N' Roll Singer 4. Baby, Please Don't Go 5. It's A Long Way To The TOp 6. TNT 7. Ride On 8. Highway To Hell I'll assume it was a costume event, as Dave's dressed up as a flaming homosexual in the cover art.
I don't it would have been a costume event Daves always dresses like a poof
the only stuff around that you may be interested in may be the marcus hook roll band (before the thunder) mal's old stuff or some pre acdc bon scott stuff which is floating about
After reading the previous mile of commentary, I have a small question if someone out there could give me an answer, I have obtained a song called welfare which defintly has bon on the lead vocals and sounds far too pretty to be ac/dc, is it the valentines or an early outtake from the first Australian Album High Voltage?
