Hey I'm looking at an MP3 player that records via line in to WAV at 44KHz. Is that good or bad. I thought that WAV is lossless so thats good but I dont know what 44KHz is. Thanks in Advance!

44KHz is just standard audio CD sampling rate. The higher the audio sampling, the higher the quality. DVD-Audio is something like 96 KHz. At least, that's to my understanding. Someone with more audio knowledge can explain it better.

Typically, if it records to WAV, it should record to 44.1 kHz. If you have an mp3 player that records to WAV, take and open those files in a program like foobar2000 and then look at the bottom display...it should say something like this: WAV 1444 kbps 44100 hz (that's only a rough estimate on bitrate, I don't know the true bitrate of WAV, but it's enough to let you know if you have the correct format).
