This is an easy one for me. Possibly the best AC/DC song from the last 20 years. Anything Goes
@scotty wau.... ;) for me Anything Goes sounds like a Foxtrott. reminds me at Status Quo and i hate Status Quo ;) either 10 - Stormy May Day or 11 - She Likes Rock 'N' Roll but: The opinions are divided, and thats how it has to be :)
Stormy May Day would be at the top of my list, except that it's only half done. It's like they're building for a "quiet before the storm" sort of feel and then forget the storm. The storm in this case would be a guitar solo (slide or picked), a breakdown and then a finish and an outro. It has a lot of potential, but needs to be completed. At least, though, they're trying for something different. The fact that they're actually going somewhere musically for the first time in 28 years (besides maybe The Razor's Edge, Ballbreaker and The Furor) is a hopeful sign. My top 3 musically: 1. Anything Goes 2. Stormy May Day 3. R'n'R Dream Everything else sounds bland and generic and gets really boring after one listen. 1.
maybee big jack... but I don't know anything yet, cos the album will be out on friday;-)
ROCK N ROLL DREAM.Btw,I'm lookin for tickets in milano 21 march 2009.if any1 can help...?in english,please....
My top 5 so far (ex-the already released): 1. R'n'R Dream and not just because it's a quasi-ballad. Lots of "research", well structured, great voice. May first sound like deja vu but it turns to a master piece. Thumb up boys! 2. Stormy May Day for the intro and Brian's whisper at the end. Reminds me of the damn good 70-80s sound. 3. Wheels for being the best candidate to figure in their next tour setlist. The fast riffy track you need to have in the setlist (iof you want blood, heatseeker...etc) and the first note gives the tone. 4. Anything goes for being the best candidate for the FM radio super single. Enjoyable tune which any music listener will like. 5. Big Jack for the unexpected turn taken by the guitare when the chorus come. The last two in the tracklist are so far the least enjoyable.
I still think that 'Rock N Roll' Train is the best song on the album. It's the Anthem of this one, as 'Stiff Upper Lip', 'Hard As A Rock' and 'Thunderstruck' were for the last three Albums. My favorite song after RnRT is 'Anything Goes'.
Excellent: Rock N Roll Dream Rock N Roll Train Good: Spoilin' For a Fight War Machine Average: Stormy May Day Skies on Fire
Anything goes is probably the worst song AC/DC ever made.I prefer DT or Chase the Ace anyday. You know a gmae called Fiendish Freddy's Big Top O'Fun? You probably don't, anyway i can only characterize Anything Goes as a carnival song.
Fiendish Freddy's Big Top O'Fun was a great game BTW.
Just listened to Stormy May Day, and I'd say it's face melting at the least. Flat caps off to Brian for the vocal work.
