I'm not sure what you mean by the line, "So much for the corporate whores." If anything, it represents a tacit acknowledgement that Black Ice is already all over the internet and there's nothing they can do to stem the tide except to throw a streamed scrap of information - rather than a downloadable whole of it - through the official site in a desparate attempt to wean people away from torrents until the official release. After all, we've been reading their idiot dumbfuck marketing material as it has lamely and condescendingly attempted to build up buzz around the album and I don't think it said a whole lot about being able to stream the whole album from acdc.com the day before its official release. You'd think that would be newsworthy, but apparently it wasn't. At least in the last Angus interview I read (quoted on this site), he seemed to indicate that he knew digital was the future, but he wasn't ready to go all in right now. Considering that a lot of the people buying his music are middle-aged and may not be too concerned with mp3 players, that's probably wise, but I think the band would be even more economically well-off if they had released the album for sale both online and on CD. Given how easy it would be to capture credit card info and do a digital release through acdc.com, they still could if they really wanted to, besides selling hard copies of the CD in record stores.

Brian Johnson's line about "iTunes is going to kill music" doesn't make sense to me, either. WTF is he talking about?

Well it's illegal to download it right? And we had tons of talks here from frighten USAians that would not download. So here is a free album. You like it? You will buy it. You don't, that's ok. Also this is not about the money and the boats etc etc. They have money, sure let's Sony make some. After all this is the 1st album for Sony. And finally TOUR! If anyone thinks they are getting his loot then DON'T GO ON THE FUCKIING TOUR. If anyone thinks the album is trash, DON'T BUY IT. If anyone thinks they are money thirsty monsters DON'T BOTHER LISTENING TO THEM. I'm tired of this money business thing. I'm going to buy one copy of the album and get my promos and go on the fucking tour with a smile on my face and if someone does not like that he/she can kiss my lovely arse! And that is that.

I don't understand the complaining about AC/DC not being on Itunes. As Angus said, "We sell albums, not singles.". I agree; anyone who says, "I like this one song, but I don't like this band" can get bent. I understand wanting to put the songs on your Ipod, but you can just upload them to Itunes from the CD. And I'll stick with CD quality thank you.

Yeah, exactly why should we care that Black Ice is not on iTunes?

The quality of recorded media almost always goes in this order: LP -> CD -> Cassette -> Digital Download Besides, why would AC/DC want to be on a service so desperate to get money, they have the world's worst AC/DC covers?
