March Bootleg of the Month
Ok guys, time to get some ideas for March. I've got one request for the tracks from Maximum Overdrive, so I'll put the entire bootleg I have with those tracks as one of the choices. It's got a lot of demos and other unreleased Brian era AC/DC. Anyone else have some requests?
I think the first Bran Johnson concert with AC/DC could be a good idea
BigNate, How about the January 24, 1976 show? Great tracks, old school Bon and you list the sound quality as good. That's my 2 cents worth. Scotty from Detroit
Do you have any boots from Forum, Copenhagen April 1996 or Wembley arena, London December 2000? Two only shows I ever attended.
what about live in Belgrade 1991 ? or Live San Francisco, Cow palace - 12.14.1990 or Live Charlotte, Coliseum - 02.16.1991 or Live Gentofte, Denmark - 08.10.1991 :D
1. C'mon Frenchie 06.04.1988; Paris, Zenith 2. Irvine Overdrive 13.08.1986; Laguna Hills, Irvine Meadows Amphitheater + various 3. Right Out Of Controller 25.01.1981; Brussels, Vorst Nationale 4. Aftershocks 1983, various
i've got an idea, why not 4 boots of the donnington festival 4 different years, and we choose one :D
well i would love joe louis arena from the flick tour when AC/DC was in Detroit. Awsome show, too bad my seats sucked! But i had it on video from MTV and lost that years ago. would be cool to have on cd.
I've seen and heard rumour of Angus and Mal pre-ACDC stuff. I got one song off of WinMX - Ang, Mal and the Marcus Hook Roll Band. Is this stuff for real? Is there more? A Pre-ACDC comp would really fill out just about everyone's collection, I think...
there are some different boots, the famous one I think is called "Before the Thunder", with Marcus Hook Roll Band + Dave Evans songs
'Irvine Overdrive' from US WMW tour would be great! It has those Maximum Overdrive outtakes too! http://www.badboyboogie.de/bootlegs/1425.html or what about 'Flies on the soundboard'. It's a soundboard recording! http://www.badboyboogie.de/bootlegs/1420.html
Yeah I think we should have Flies on The Soundboard.. I've heard good things about it.
Flies on the Soundboard is very good. It's a soundboard recording of a full show, plus half of another, both from Texas in 1985. I'll put that one on there along with the alternate version of Aftershocks, which has the songs/sounds from Maximum Overdrive along with a few other rarer tracks. Unfortunately, I don't have the full version of Irvine Overdrive, only the show from that date by itself, so I can't offer that one. Before the Thunder is pretty good. It's not at all like AC/DC (different type of music), but it is still fun to hear where Angus and Malcolm got their start. I'll have to check on how many Donington shows I've got. I know 3 for sure, will have to check on the 4th. 2 more? Anyone? More support for Detroit to get it on the list? Thanks guys, I appreciate your input. Nate
The show from the date of the Irvine Overdrive bootleg is all I really want :) ... but the other boots suggested are good too.
what about fucking lives of 1988 ? live in melbourne nationale tennis center is a pretty good one 13.03.1988; London,Wembley Arena or 25.03.1988; Stockholm, Isstadion 3 goood ones
I think a bootleg from the live in Paris (2001, Stade de France) would be a very excellent downloading. I know in this concert they played "Ride On" after "For Those About To Rock", and this is very interesting.
so : -live in Texas 1985 -before the thunder -one live from 1988 ? -live in SDF 2001 ?
I'd love to hear either a good sounding audience, or a soundboard from the fly on the wall tour.
live in texas 1985 -> soundboard from the fly on tour …
Thanks for the input guys, I'll have the new poll up at the beginning of next month. BigNate
Lor44 is right, I was downloading the video of Ride On from someone on WinMX, too bad I only got about 1/4 of it. Stade de France from June 22, 2001 (video title: One Of These Days) seems like a great show from the 3 songs I have from it. Would love to have the complete version. Any other shows where they played Ride On? Bon or Brian?
The complete show is excellent, and may be one of the choices for next month's bootleg of the month. I'm still trying to figure out 3 choices. The DVD is EXCELLENT. I highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it. Other than Brian singing Ride On in Paris, the only other live performance was with Bon with the band Trust in early Feb, 1980, just a few days before he passed away. The quality is excellent, but it's only Bon and not the rest of the band. It sounds mostly like a spontaneous jam session that is both fun to hear and eary, knowing that Bon didn't live out the rest of the month. BigNate
I've got the "Ride On" version with Trust. If someone is interested, I can send it by mail.
i'd like to have it if you could, I can't find it on any peer-to-peer network or any website
BigNate, Maybe it's too late to put in a new bootleg of the month request for March but I would like to still try and put in a request. If not this month, I will request again for April. 11/14/81 Detroit since it has "Inject The Venom" OR 7/1/80 Deinze, Belgium since it has "Given The Dog A Bone" Most die hard fans love the obscure stuff and both of these concerts are listed as good audio. I think the fans would overwhelmingly vote for one of these. Best Regards
you have the Stade de France show from June 22, 2001 (title: One of These Days) don't you BigNate? Maybe we could arrange a blanks and postage trade because I don't have anything except for the february and march bootlegs of the month, and the soundcheck from new orleans in 1986
sorry meant january and february bootlegs of the month
acdcussr, contact me privately (PM or email) and we can work something out. Nate
hey some early stuff with Brian would be cool. this "given the dog a bone"-boot sounds interesting.
Hey all > am new to this site, I was a bit late in arriving here. In this process I have missed many a bootleg offering by this site during March and prior to that ... kindly let me know how can I get them. Help appreciated in advance !! Krishna.
