oh he wont be impressed at convertin it bud
Well, until MP3 players begin playing FLAC files, he can go take a flying jump at a rolling donut.
fucking converting foreign stuff.... no prbs with mp3 but its jerry tape and he does not want this dude....
well it seems the 10 download limit is reached. Can't download it. :-(
I don't think I understand the conflict. Is he or is he not a part of the bootleg community? And is it or is it not true that becoming part of the bootleg community means when you release something into the bootleg community it basically becomes public domain? And if something is public domain, then WTF does it matter whether it is converted or not? If people want the original FLAC files, they can locate them and download them from the source. Now, if Jerry is planning to open his own record company and sell the bootleg exclusively through himself, then he may have a case. He may also want to get some goons behind him to kneecap anyone who then converts what he believes rightfully belongs to him. Please enlighten me and everyone else in the bootleg community as to how, after Jerry has released the bootleg into the public domain, he has any exclusive rights to the format. I think chapeau has done more than enough in giving credit to Jerry for the tape and stating that a non-lossy version exists. If he wants to ease Jerry's mind any more (in case his panties are in a knot about the mp3 release of the show), he can also post a link to wherever Jerry has posted the original FLAC files.
Bootleggers have no right whatsoever to complain about their bootlegs being "bootlegged". AC/DC would really make this so much easier for everyone and make themselves a boatload of cash in the process if they would just do the Pearl Jam thing and record every show and then officially release them at a cost of $10/show online.
can't download it, limit of 10 downloads.... think i'm gonna cry now...:(
Don't cry. Someone has converted the very same recording by Jerry into 160 kbps MP3 format and posted it on a very public torrent: http://www.mininova.org/tor/1958493 Hope the torrent posting doesn't hurt Jerry's feelings too much...
If you dont like torrents here is a new rapidshare link: http://rapidshare.com/files/158842724/2008-10-26_-_Wachovia_Arena_Wilkes-Barre__PA.zip
I will soon be sharing a what I think is a better quality recording of this show. My buddy at the radio station is splitting the tracks and cleaning it up as we speak.
upgrades are always welcome. :-) thanks mate!
Thanks Erudite. Would you please clearly mention upgrade etc. etc. once you post it? Good work by the way and the Riff Raff thanks your buddy.
I'll make a new post in the download section when it's done - hopefully by tomorrow, but no guarantees. I'm glad that it will be appreciated!
