Review - Chicago Nov. 1
After a 48 hour absence we return to the scene of the crime at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Parking $20 please. As we walk in the building, the lines for T-shirts and CDs are wrapped around the concession stand. No waiting for plastic devil horns though ($15), in fact they're selling them in the stands like beer vendors. They seem to come with different settings: solid on, slow blink, fast blink, and alternating left and right. The crowd is a little younger tonight and more women are here. A lot more women. We are off to the side in the upper balcony on Malcolm's side about even with the soundboard. As opening act The Answer plays we noticed the acoustics are muffled compared to the crisp sound we got 2 nights ago in the back of the arena. Animated movie, pyro, and we are ready to go. 1. Rock N Roll Train Angus in a plum/burgundy red suit and a bright red tie. 2. Hell Aint a Bad Place 3. Back In Black 4. Big Jack Phil's really in a groove on this one. Then onto 5. Dirty Deeds 6. Thunderstruck 7. Black Ice Sweat, snot, and drool are dripping from Angus on the hi def big screen. He needs to shed some of his clothes. And so 8. The Jack 9. Hells Bells So far so good, then a curveball 10. Shoot To Thrill Please don't tell me they've dropped War Machine. 11. War Machine (whew) The roadies brought out a mic for Angus but he chose not to sing. Too bad. His voice adds a lot to the song. 12. Anything Goes And rising up the charts much to the dismay of sapator. 13. You Shook Me All Night Long 14. T.N.T. Women to the left of me. Women to the right. Did I mention there were a lot of girls here tonight? 15. Whole Lotta Rosie The inflatible BBW is back !!! Rumors of her demise were greatly exaggerated. Every time they played the main riff, her left hand would move right over Phil's head as if she were playing air guitar. 16. Let There Be Rock 17. Highway to Hell 18. For Those About to Rock And we're outta here. Drive safely. Indy, you're next and you're in for a treat.
Thanks budy for the review. Rosie (end) from the 11/01 show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxRYjtrQ9sA
I must confess i am an AC DC rookie but it seems the setlits are gonna stay the same for a little while... do they generally mix things up a bit further into the tour....??? I don't imagine things will be different in Toronto this friday Just wondering
Some stuff. Well sapator still proclaims that they will only do RnR train and War machine on summer tours.
