I'm a Rebel
Since this is a song that remains in the vaults, can anyone explain to me how Accept magaged to cover it? Though it is a VERY VERY VERY good song and would love to hear Bon sing it but god knows that aint gunna happen soon
i don't doubt this track was recorded but its only a rumour the tape(s) survive if they hada they wudda surfaced by now. its just another one of these cruel denials we'll have to live with
Accept bought the track off Vanda & Young (source classic rock magazine) they (Accept) claim ac dc didn't like how the track worked out.
thats pretty interesting actually, thanks for that info
please to be of use, i think its more an AC DC track than an Accept.. if ya know what am sayin... i often think why didn't you sell this to ... its more them than you. example.. to me TONS of Bruce Springsteen stuff sounds like it should be sung by Billie Joel I'm a Rebel is a stomper why the hell the Youngs didn't put this out ..we'll never know
I have to disagree with you Donnington 1984. Apparently, this song was recorded by AC/DC and, in fact, there are some who frequent this site who actually have it (of so I'm led to believe) but cannot trade it. I actually saw it on one guy's list (a reputable member, of course) awhile back and asked for it but was told that it could not be traded.
Why? He didn't want to, or he literally couldn't?
Hola.Sapatore esto.etc. This matter have been discussed on the ol acdcforums. I personally called the guy, don't remember who he was, asshole and looser etc. Turned out he did not have the song. The song is on alberts volts. Care for a jailbreak? :)
Then we're not talking about the same guy, sapator. I'm telling you there is at least one guy on here that definitely has it but it's not for trade.
whatever, whomever, If the original track (penned by Alex Young fact fans) ever does make it outta the vice like grip of George or Malcolm Young, heres hoping its better than Accepts version, which after much relistening (see the pain I go thru for you guys!),and consideration,I have sadly came to the conclusion,......................... IS SHITE!! Substandard ScorpionPriest vocals coupled with a weird mix of Saxon/Quo/NWOBHM riffs, very peculiar. Musically they are adept, but IMHO bad choice of singer & decidedly dodgy LP covers and song titles, i.e. Balls To The Wall cover and er,"London Leatherboys" !?! Even way back in the halcyon days of the 80s,THAT was just WRONG! on too many levels. Wonder why they never made it big? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8i-RJX5q_kM But hey YOU make up yer own mind.
@ daclarob I am a fan of Accept. I donīt think they are bad. IMO they are better then Scorpions. But now Accept is a band which is gone 4-ever. Ok the singing of udo is not for everyones ears. But he is still a great singer
fair enough bro, i accept they are popular, just not my cup of tea, never any offence intended ya gotta agree, album covers were dodgy tho peace bro dave
Viper it was a guy that said had it and just removed it from the list etc. Sounds very familiar with this dickweed but i don't wanna remember it so i'll stop. Hey daclarob Accept in my opinion is one of the best bands ever. Songs like princess of the dawn, breaker fast as a shark(the first speed metal song ever), metal heart etc are magic and original. But thats just my opinion. I think the were very underrated and i was lucky to see them one last time in the reunion they made a couple of years back.As for the covers..Well they are shitty but i can say the same about AC/DC covers.Does this make a band good or not?Don't think so ;) P.S if you listen to the solo of TV war it reminds helloween...Funny thing helloween did not ever have an album yet ;)
I always thought the first speed metal song was Stone Cold Crazy by Queen
Maybe a very vein primitive riff but definatly not the first song.
