Are AC/DC becoming an album band?

They're playing 5 of 15 songs from Black Ice - a full 20%! That's 5% more than they usually play live on tour! Now all they have to do is air out the other 10 songs from Black Ice and the other 110 or so songs they've never let out to breath from the rest of their records sometime within the next two years of touring and I'll buy what they're selling when they say they're an album band!

It would be nice if they played some specialty shows. Maybe a show where they played the whole 'Back In Black' album or the whole 'Highway to Hell' album or the whole 'Powerage' album (you get the picture). Several bands have done this during tours, so why not? I would call them an album band if they did this.

I never thought of that before. Actually I did (it's buried in a previous thread), but I'm happy to see there's at least one other AC/DC fan who agrees with me. I don't think they need to play the complete "Who Made Who" though, as that's pretty much a greatest hits album and greatest perceived hits and singles are what they have been playing for 28 years. That being said, they really should air out the three original tracks from Who Made Who, including the title track and the two instrumental jams (which are probably Rick Rubin's - AC/DC's 2nd best producer - inspiration for saying that they would make a great instrumental band).

Correction: 5/15 = 1/3 = .333 = 33.3% That's more than you claim in your post. But yeah, I'd love to see AC/DC reach back further. Maye not this tour, but if they do a tour in 2010, as a bit of a farewell tour, do more stuff like they did in the early years.

If you want to get technical, they are playing 5 out of 18 songs which is 27.77777777%, lol.

Viper, that would be cool, but I don't think a lot of people would pay for that.. I mean it'd be nice, but they already have it going very nicely with what they've got

I'd pay a lot to hear Brian do Ride On with his new voice.
