Port Fowarding?
Anybody know how to do Port fowarding? I have torrents with upwards of 100 seeders, yet it gets barely 10kbs. Have tried to go into the router login, ipconfig, nothing will work. Have been to the port fowarding website, but no help. Anybody???
for our American buds i would personally rate a course in I.T. @ M.I.T., seriously tho bud, I got the same prob since I changed ISP and now Im on a friggin dynamin IP address,so my Dime account,Hub Account, any account where an IP address is required is now a major pain in the ass!!! 2 guesses who is changing ISP's in '09? Meantime Im gonna get a guy in to tune the old Franken-PC up a bit, upgrade the memory etc,new fans and such, just a lil TLC for THE BEAST. I'll get the guy to sort ot this port forwarding shite as well while hes here. If you got the pennies.or better still,if you got any PC literate buds, get them on the case Sorry I couldnt be of more help mate, but as far as I can see unless your NASA qualified, neuro surgery looks an easier option. be nice if these port forwarding sites and PC magazines would stop assuming we all have previous knowledge of computers and give us the info in laymans terms, damn sight more helpful!!
This is the best resource I've found when trying to set my stuff up correctly. If it still doesn't work after this, your ISP is dicking with you. Check out http://portforward.com/
Who is your IP? I ocassionally get the problem with Comcast, but generally have no issue. Other question I might have, are you overloaded? More often than not I see people who try to open up their systems too much and run into this issue as well.
SBC Yahoo. Heres my setup MY computer is connected wirelessly. The other computer is 12 feet away, and that one has the wireless router connected to it along with the 2wire router. Which computer would I port forward, mine or the other one?
