As anyone who has seen the badly mastered Japanese clips on Plug Me In, Japanese crowds went crazy for AC/DC back in '81 (and from the boots, in 2001, too) and AC/DC went just as crazy for them. It's possible there were no cannons allowed during the Japanese tours - maybe someone with deeper knowledge than me can follow up on that...
