Rock Goes To College?
The Colchester University gig is always said to be Oct 28, 1978...however I have a copy of a ticket stub that indicates Oct 25. AC/DC should have played in Belgium on the 25th. Does anyone know if the original date was supposed to be the 25th and was rescheduled? or did the Essex show actually take place on the 25th and not the 28th?
After referencing my copy of Plug Me In, it officially has been marked down as the 28th of October, 1978. Maybe the BBC originally scheduled it for the 25th, and even had tickets printed up for the show, but realized that AC/DC had a show scheduled in Belgium on that day, and allowed the 25th of October ticket holders to use those tickets on the 28th. Or maybe it's a reflection of how inaccurate our stuff really is (you gotta remember, AC/DC in the 70s was not really loved by the record companies)
Perhaps the printers screwed up and mis-printed? Here is a snippet of my venue list.
