Banned...How to get Unbanned?
Over a month ago I was banned for sharing official recordings. I hadn't realized I had transferred some official recordings into my shared folder until someone very rudely informed me (davidceltic888). I was in the process of deleting all the official stuff, when suddenly I found myself banned. Unless I missed something, I was supposed to be warned twice before I was banned, but I was banned immediately. It is possible I was warned while I was away from the computer, but if so, I missed it. Point is: all official material is gone now, it won't happen again and I'd like to rejoin the hub if it is at all possible. How do I get back in? Is it possible to be unbanned?
You're not the only one. Same thing happened to me and I guess to several other fans. This davidceltic guy thinks he is the watchdog of the hub... He warned me at 15 o'clock when I was at work and then banned me. I PM him twice but no reply. Pitty, pitty, pitty... So do not ask and do not beg anybody. Just change you nickname, stay offline one day so that you IP is changed and you'll be able to connect again.. Regards, Antonios
Davidceltic is the watchdog thats why he is an op. Superbayman doesn't want all official material being shared so that is why he has op's. If you actually talked to davidceltic then you wiould find that he is actually a nice guy he is only doing what is best for the hub. You don't want the hub to go down do ypu? Of course you don't so if your not sure of what is official then pm him and show him a list of what you want to share and he will tell you is what you want to share is official or not.
Dude...I totally talked to him and he was an asshole on a power trip... Did I not already say that I removed the official material as soon as I was asked to? And still he went and banned me... Hey, I don't want the hub shut down as much as anyone else, but people on arbitrary power trips don't do anything for me... I've been off the hub for coming on close to two months, all official stuff is gone (sorry it was there to begin with - fuckups happen), what else is there to say? If davidceltic wants to talk to me with some semblance of humanity, he will find out I'm a nice guy, too... If he wants to play stupid power games, well that's his problem...
I've heard the same about this guy. Alot of shit going on with him. People should definetly be warned before D-C starts to ban people.
You guys can say what you want but do what I said pm him to what you want to share and he will tell you what you can and can't
i got banned last june because i had official stuff by other artists...but i've been back on for a while now. what you wanna do is: 1) make sure that all official material is out: especially stuff from family jewels. --dave or anybody else don't ban people right away without warning unless a good part of their share is official. dave foudns tuff in my share that was on family jewels and asked me to get it off and i did. end of story 2) saying how the guys a jackass on a powertrip or whatever doesnt get you back on the hub. i'm not an OP, but i can say just by common sense that insulting the guy won't get you back on the hub fast. 3) the rules on the hub are very clearly shown. its the first thing you see when you get on the hub. if you don't read the rules the first time you get on; thats your own problem.

Who's insulting? Stating facts is not necessarily a bad thing... Damn - you'd think I was dealing with the Bush administration here...
daves a nice guy..its just easy to get pissed off when one after another people stay on the site for a while without reading the very clearly-stated rules and share official stuff. thats it.
As soon as I tried to install the hub software, for no reason I got a message that stated YOUR ASS IS BANNED. To me that is someone on a powertrip. I've got tons of lossless stuff to share but OH WELL.......
Before you blame someone, be sure to check your settings. I believe there are a few that need to meet the minimum requirements for the hub or you'll be booted instantly. If you need a copy of the rules to check against, drop me a PM and I'll send them to you. Nate
Yes and do what I said pm david or BigNate of what you have and they can tell you if you have legal or illegal stuff to share
It's not impossible to re-join the hub, just only log in with a new member name. That's it :)

yeah so if your ip adress changes then you can go back on
nope, they don't just ban the IP address you're on, they ban the front part, so anyone with the first 6 or 7 digits of that IP number (it's rarely someone different than the person they banned) is banned. at least i think this is how it works
