Riff Raff Stores/Auctions

Another idea I've had is to create stores or auction sites to let people sell their duplicate LP's or cd's, shirts, used books, anything, on this site. It would be pretty basic to start, but I wanted to post and see if there is enough interest in the idea to move forward with it. It would work like ebay or amazon in the fact that people can create their own listings for items and choose whether they are a straight up sale or an auction. You'd be able to upload pics and descriptions. All items would be approved before they are shown in your own store where only you can post items, or a general store where everyone can post items. Pricing would be as follows: - a store would cost roughly $20 to open, and possibly a free or discounted cost per item for each posted in it. - a single item would cost $2-$3 to post in the general store - all items posted would stay up until you mark it as sold - no items will be posted until they are paid for either by cash or PayPal prices could change, and other rules will come up I'm sure, but I haven't put much effort into it. I wanted to post here to see if there would be any interest in the idea before i got started. reply here if you think this is a good idea, or especially if you think this idea blows. Best to know before i waste a lot of time building it. Thanks, Nate

I like the idea but I don't think that I would use it. If I wanted to get something ac/dc I would just use ebay. But a very good idea

it'd be safer here, you'd know its real or authentic. but man, that seems expensive...

well,i think it would be a great idea,as many of you know already,i hate ebay, their fees suck to list & then they charge you again if you sell your item(final cost fee) which is based on how much the item sells for which is rediculous. also,as many of you know,i sell vinyl boots as offen as i can,but since ebay says that i can't anymore but yet every other person in the world can, this would work out really good for me. again,as some of you know, ebay took down 4 of my auctions for the "take da fookin' roof off" 7 inch bootleg cause of copyright bull crap, but yet there were 4 other sellers selling the exact same thing as i was ,but yet ebay didn't do a god damned thing to them, even after i & others reported them, which is absolute bullshit !! so ,yeah,i'd like to see this happen. c'mon the rest of you, jump on the band wagon here, there's alot of new boots coming out soon that i'm gonna be selling soon, lol!!

I think it's a good idea. I totally agree with nightprowler1226 in that eBay seems to target certain sellers. I too have had auctions cancelled by eBay when there are several other sellers offering the exact same items! I don't know how/why they discriminate like that, but the fact is, they do and and happens all too often! I would support a store and would definitely buy and probably sell some items!
