i don't care if people whine or get mad but there has been like 20 of these lists that people have made within the last month or so and there is no possible way there gonna play overdose or guns for hire or spellbound. sorry it just gets old after a while

Being one of those whiners myself, I have to agree: AC/DC have no interest in listening to their fans or showing some appreciation for their own history. Since Bon died, they have stopped communicating with their audience, substituting instead literal wall of sound between themselves and their fans and beyond that, their history. Occasionally chinks in the wall have appeared, but it seems like they live in such an atmosphere of fear and self-loathing re: their history (especially with Brian) that they quite literally do not have the balls to confront their past, who they are and who they have been. Guns for Hire is a great, unexpected choice. I tend to forget how good the song is until I hear it again while my iPod shuffles through their catalog.

It gets old but eh, people need to let it out and say what they feel about the set. I wish they would play something unexpected for a change like Guns For Hire.

Agree with notangus. As long as they will play live, they will play the same songs over and over. The band didnīt regnonized that times have changed with theyr fans. And i think when they play Heatseeker or fly on the wall again, everyone will like these songs. But I hope they will play some old rare stuff. Angus said this on an interview in a german magazine, that they will bring back some songs, that wasnīt plaed live a long time. So I guess we can only pray that that will happen.

I cant see them having an encore including anything else other than Highway to hell, TNT, or For those about to rock on this tour.

Well they haven't forgotten, as we've seen them play almost the whole Powerage album on the SUL tour and the reopening of the Hammersmith. I think notangus has hit the nail on the head. We may see a somewhat obscure Bon song thrown in but when have they ever pulled out a rare Brian song? (never.) And I doubt Brian could handle Guns For Hire these days. Even in '91 it would have been tough.

Why can't he handle GFH? The songs is nothing special lyrically. I use to sing it constant in y bath tub (with different lyrics, don't ever remember the original) . Hmm interesting issue. I think a very difficult to handle by BJ now will be This means war and maybe That's the way i want my baked roll.

Listen to the chorus for God's sake! He struggled to hit that chorus high note in '83. You think he could do it now? Yeah, This Means War would be tough due to speed I suppose. That's The Way I Want My Baked Roll wouldn't be too bad though. Phil would at least play it at the right speed.

Ok, i heard GFH, you're right. But he could sing it differently. It think GFH could be easier to sing compared to..let's say She's got balls.Easier song but all the Bon Scott feeling, is very difficult to do.

ach well, itried to stay away from this post because I feel were as well hoping that the band would do "Smoke On The Water" or "Stairway To Heaven", ................ BUT.... after watching my wee 2 1/2 yr old son, goin mad to disc 1 Family Jewels, I had a wee shot of inspiration, (bet you f+*&ers thought I was gnna say booze!) I personally think that the LOOOONG version of "Baby Please Dont Go" would fit the set, think bout it, LTBR gets back to what it should be, not the interval for the bar/toilets whatever you feel like now, Its a classic blues number, would fit Brians voice its a blast from the past concerning the back catalogue, the band could crank up the pace, BIG STYLE and take the show back to where it belongs, i.e. A FUCKIN ELECTRIC R'N'R GIG oh aye an get shot of YSMANL, GOD that tune gits right oan ma tits, HIGH VOLTAGE RNRANP FUCK IT GUYS, STOP BEING THE TRAVELLING JUKEBOX YOUR BECOMING,YOU WERE?ARE THE BIGGEST ROCK BAND IN THE WORLD,THE WORLDS ALREADY GOT ONE ROLLING STONES TROTTING OUT THE GREATEST HITS TOUR EVERY COUPLA YEARS. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ME, CHECK OUT THE EARLY STUFF,PRE 90,AND TELL ME THE BAND STILL ELECTRIFY THE WAY THEY DID. IM NOT OPENING UP THE BRIAN vs BON ARGUEMENT HERE,THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT SINGERS WHOSE STYLES SHAPE AC/DC IN DIFFERENT WAYS,BUT FER CHRISSAKES IVE BEEN TO PUBS N CLUBS WHERE BANDS HAVE DONE DC SONGS AND THEYVE "BLOWN THE FOOKIN ROOF OFF". IT JUST SEEMS THAT DC ARE SOO BIG NOW THEY HAVENT GOT THAT "SPARK" ANYMORE,PLEASE DONT GET ME WRONG, I FUCKIN LOVE EM,ALWAYS WILL, (SOUNDTRACK FOR MY ADOLESCENCE AND BEYOND),BUT I DEFY ANYONE TO TELL ME ALL THE SLICK PROFESSIONALISM,THE STAGE PROPS ETC,CAN EVER TAKE THE PLACE OF A BALLS TO THE WALL PERFORMANCE. APOLOGIES TO ALL WHO DISAGREE WITH ME HERE,THATS YOUR RIGHT AND I WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHT TO DISAGREE WITH ME,BUT I MISS THE OLD AC/DC, THE ONE BEFORE THE TOURING BOHEMOTH THATS TREKKING THE GLOBE NOW,(FROM WHAT IVE SEEN & HEARD ITS GREAT AND I CANT WAIT FOR GLASGOW)BUT ITS SO SLICK IN COMPARISON TO WHAT IT WAS, IS THAT PROGRESS? A WEE FOOTNOTE. IM THINKING BOUT DESIGNING MY OWN SHIRTS TICKETSCHEISTER IN THE APPROPRIATE DESIGN OF COURSE,LOL, ANYONE INTRESTED AND A WEE IDEA I HAD LAST NIGHT, SEEIN AS WERE ALL FEELIN THE SAME RE THE TICKET PRICES/AVAILABILITY ETC, HOWS ABOUT...... !!!!!A BLACK ICE FLEECE!!!!!! THAT COVERS THE BLACK ICE = WINTER IDEA,& THE FRIGGIN TICKET PRICES!!!! LOL PEACE OUT N BE WELL Y'ALL LOVIN YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE DAVE

Well Dave AC/DC are going to 60 years old.For 50-60+ year old men and having seen them this year i have to say that, ok, great band, 3rd best concert of my life (1st AC/DC stade de france 2001, 2nd Judas Priest Athens (not for the concert but we did so much mess on that gig, my head was hearting for a week, my voice closed for 4 days)) but after that they should really stop..There i've said it! They should stop playing after this, except if they do a quick 2-3 years album.Love em but i don't wanna see them fall. And don't anyone say about Rolling Stones, black sabbath, etc. The (need of,)amount of energy on those shows are 2 in a scale of 10, while AC/DC are 10 in a scale of 10. And i will certainly will NOT want them to return after 8 years and start playing rare songs. This for me will be a disgrace. In the style of giving the fans something special in order to forget our aging problems.Anyhow i think that they will understand and stop in a 5 years period (hope i see them on a last tour in 2013 :) ) if not then i will not attend. Anyway, for the time being....ATHENS IN 24 DAYS!!!!!Hell! P.S. Dave i think you are a very luck man because you have seen them in their prime (of course you're an old goose right now, kidding :P .) and you will understand what i'm talking about.I think they give hope on times of need, inspired almost everyone but the time to let go is near.

Sure, he could sing GFH different, but that would just make it obvious that he's aging, and he wouldn't like that. And if you've seen the video from '86 when they did She's Got Balls, I think you'd see Brian can do it very well.

It just isn't Brians thing my friend. That's why they cut it down(she's got balls). He just sings it.I don't know how to put it.The song has a strong feeling (unlike a simple riffy GFH), it's not that he cannot sing it. Don't get me wrong i also think that every song on Powerage screams Bon Scott and it ain't Brians turf but i of course would love to see them do 3-4-5, well all the songs from Powerage. P.S. I like both Bon and Brian, if anyone rush to a conclusion.

Well I'm one of those weirdos who prefers Brian. The only Bon I listen to is Powerage. I know what you mean. i don't agree though. I think Brian is definitely feeling it. Especially nowadays, since he's become less of a screamer, I think he could pull it off. And I really like Brian's Powerage interpretations. Gone Shootin' sounds like it was made for him.

simple, Bon was a cheeky bastard who would drink you under the table then shag yer girl,Brian on the other hand would/useta be the kinda guy who'd drink with you all night n play darts(if proof were needed see the bell end inn from past tours). no disrespect intended to Brian, but he dont have the menace/cheek that Bon put into his interpretations of HIS lyrics. IMHO look at Dirty Deeds, its a great song, always was,but its asingalong now, whereas with Bons vocal, you believed HE would kick yer head in if someone paid him a fee. just my opinion ya unnerstand

Exactly. Anyway haven't seen Bon live i could only speculate from videos but that's my opinion too. Also i would like to say that i would want to see Bon do songs like Thunderstruck of TTWIWMRNR p.e. I think Brian is more suited for these.

Bon had character in the studio maybe, but he was always drunk live, which isn't very professional if you ask me. AC/DC has learned their lesson now, and that's why the don't drink before concerts.
