Gimme A Bullet live
Was gimme a bullet really played at this date? http://acdc-bootlegs.com/concerthistory/?gig=315#vid240 There is that youtube video but that doesn't work.
I say no, because an audience recording of 30 minutes already circulates from this show, and at the time they were supporting Rainbow and their set times were very tight. AC/DC blew them off stage every night and I doubt Rainbow's crew would tolerate them for any longer than 30 minutes. Plus, it was Mark's last shows with the band before he was sacked, and I'm pretty sure Gimme a Bullet was written once Cliff came in. I have no source to confirm that though. Maybe the poster was thinking about the soundcheck before the show where the IFYB live album was recorded. Gimme a Bullet was indeed played; I think it says so on the Apollo Theatre's website. It IS possible that it was filmed, because the Rock 'n' Roll Damnation promo is from that very soundcheck, but I doubt it exists anymore and if it did...what are the chances that this is the first we hear of it?
"Gimme A Bullet" was played live at the "Caird Hall, Dundee, Scotland, 29th May 1978. Unfortunatly, no recording of that show has surfaced. (as yet, but we live in hope)
Well if no recording has surfaced, I don't think we can be so sure it was played.
It was played. Same as I know "Beating Around The Bush" was played at Carlise Market Hall (before the release of H2H) Just like "Kicked in the Teeth" was at Old Waldorf Theatre, San Fran 77.
