Best recording so far in 2008 / 2009?
What do you think is the best recoding (so far) in 2008 / 2009? What I've listened to i think it's Frankfurt 25.March 2009, but i didn't heard every recording of that tour, so what do you think? The Frankfurt recording sounds really great!
@OleBrumm In my opinion, there are several that are about a 9 rating from this tour so far.... 11/9/08 Boston Taper JB / Mixed by Jerseyboy Version 11/23/08 St. Paul Taper Hurricane62 Version "For Those About to Xcel" 12/2/08 Oakland Taper Wilson66 Version 1/13/09 St. Louis Taper Hurricane62 Version "Gateway to Hell" (2nd great taping for Hurricane) 3/25/09 Frankfurt Taper Ratte (as you have mentioned) Best Regards
My personal favourites: - Wilkes Barre, PA 10-26-2008, taped by nightprowler (uncirculated yet) - Chicago, IL 10-30-2008 (taped a few feet away from where I was located at) - New York City, NY 11-13-2008 (uncirculated yet), taped by me - Philadelphia, PA 11-17-2008, taped by tapeworm - St Paul, MN 11-23-2008, taped by BigNate
i thought the Nov 7 Toronto Show had pretty good sound
That's typically, got none of these fine "9 Star" tunes (except Frankfurt & Wilkes Barre). Can somebody share it with me as a direkt link? Would be great! Thanx for the answers!
@Dirty Eye and Nightprowler, How come you haven't shared your uncirculated bootlegs yet for 10/26/08 and 11/13/08? Nightprowler had promised the Riff Raff a long time ago that he would share the full concert and not just the one track he shared from before. He had mentioned that it would be shared for free and not another limited edition single release. So, what's going on? Thanks
Hey! I can't really remember nightprowler saying anything about releasing the 2nd NYC show. I kept my word on uploading the 1st NYC show but since the 2nd NYC gig I taped came out that good we thought on doing some projects with it. You still can get Dean's recordings of both new york city shows anyway.
@Dirty Eye, I already have both Dean recordings from 11/12/08 and 11/13/08 but even though the sound is pretty clear around an 8 to 8.5, the bootlegs are totally distorted so it really doesn't sound good. I have your recording "Garden On Fire" from 11/12/08 as well which is about an 8 but low sound. What is the "special project" going to be for your 11/13/08 recording? Charging $$$ to the Riff Raff for a special bootleg?
You'll see very soon. I'm one of those guys who doesn't mind paying for good bootlegs pressed on vinyl, acetates whatever. I need eyecatchers in my collection not just shows burned on blanks. Everyone should decide for themself I guess.
I was at the 11/13/08 show, and I've been looking for a good boot. Any chance?
