On Let There Be Rock boots, I recently stumbled on a show from March 8, 1986. This takes place after the Fly Tour and well before the Who Made Who tour. What also makes this boot strange is that Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be and Dog Eat Dog are contained in the set which both won't be played again until 1991 and 1996 respectfully. Could someone give me more info on this boot please? Thank You. PS: There is also another show from April 9, 1986 with the standard Who Made Who set. Set 1. Who Made Who 2. Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be 3. Back in Black 4. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap 5. Shake Your Foundations 6. Dog Eat Dog 7. Sin City 8. Jailbreak 9. The Jack 10. Shoot to Thrill 11. You Shook Me All Night Long 12. Whole Lotta Rosie 13. Let There Be Rock 14. T.N.T. 15. Hells Bells

Methinks the date is mixed. When I check for March show, it comes up null. But when I check for August 3rd... I'd imagine the same goes for the April show, too.

Thanks, but I though they did not play Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be, Dog Eat Dog, Sin City or Shake Your Foundations during the WMW Tour.

Oh crap I just realized my fault here, in some places they put the month after the day and before the year, sorry, my bad.

Haha, it's a common issue for many, I'm sure. I've downloaded shows based on the date, and found out later it was one I already had, just dated in a different format. I think there should be an agreed upon format, since there's just so many ways people format their dates. I personally use YYYY.MM.DD. Others might use YYYY.DD.MM. I've even see DD.MM.YY, and my most hated MM.DD.YY, which is totally confusing.

This was the first time I've come across MMDDYY as far as I can remember. Well at least when hunting for some audio.

The only way I've ever known is MM-DD-YY! That's what they teach us in American schools.

It would be conveinient to use mmddyy if all the boots I'm looking for used it and is confusing to find one of those is a whole mess of yyddmm labeled stuff but I think the person who labeled thee boots used mmddyy which I've never see that before.

The exact title was 1983-3-08, to me this says March 8, 1986.

welcome to the world of boot collecting my friend, theres always some arsehole dating them up in some totally unintelligible manner, makes collecting SO much fun dontcha think? Wonder how many hours I,Graham,BigNate etc have spent playing boots over n over to compare them to others, ah what fun, t'internet would be boring otherwise!! Personally speaking, my boots are burnt (when time allows, kids have that effect),compressed and stored on HD as follows: YYYY-MM-DD After all computers universally are based on a binary code so the dates automatically fall into place. I dont as a rule file them under tours, cos its a pain in the cunt, but rather put them into year files,I find its easier and less hassle that way. Tend to find that is the generally accepted method hope thats of some use to you

Daclarob is a man after my own heart. I do exactly the same thing when it comes to dates and organizing. But even still, when you get a fair amount, it can become a pain in the ass to search and see if you have that, or even if your copy is complete or not. That's why I'm actually inputting all my bootlegs into a Microsoft Access database. First I input all the dates/venues/cities/etc, boot-by-boot, and now I'm slowly working my way through and inputting all the track lists for every show. A pain in the ass, assuredly, but worth it when it's finished. And any new shows are easily input. It's not unlike the service offered by Nate....just my own personal project. Makes it easy to search through just what it is I have, and what I don't.
