Ride on, Paris, France 2001
Hi everyone, i was just listening to the live version and the album version for maby the millionth time and i was wondering, is there a story or reason behind the live performance, why did they decide to do it? I remember something about a fan talking to them about it and that that was the reason they did it live. Anyway I would really appreciate it if someone would enlighten me regarding this :D Cheers
A Blues player died and they decided to honor him.I don't remember his name but that's why they did it.
Oh, thanks, thought it was something like that. Still an amazing performance.
I thought it was for John Lee Hooker, but I might be mistaken.
Hey Nate, yeah, i think you're right concert date: Jun 22, 2001 Stade de France, Paris, France John Lee Hooker (August 22, 1917 – June 21, 2001)
Interesting, he wrote Boom Boom, which they covered in '96. Let's hope Chuck Berry dies during the Black Ice tour then!
