Hey sapator how come you greeks didnt sold out the oaka stadium? How many people were there about 50.000 out of 74.000 capacity?

I think the main reason why it wasn't a sell out was because the ticket (80 euros) played a major roll on not being a full house. OK somebody would say "If an AC/DC fan decides to go, 80 euros wouldn't be the case". But there's so many people that aren't really big AC/DC fans (shame on them) but would of came if the ticket was cheaper! Don't forget that the average wage in Greece is just over 700 euros. Another reason is that we don't have close neigbours that can afford to go (e.g Bulgaria,FYROM,Albania etc...). I saw some Bulgarians but that's about it! Our population is much less than alot of the other European countries. The bottom line is that we were 50 - 55,000 crazy fans and believe me it was as loud as...150,000 fans!!! I traveled from Thessaloniki (520km north of Athens) with another 18,000 fans. I think that means alot!

Madonna sold out Oaka stadion and had more expensive tickets than ac/dc (thats a shame) and she sings on playback. Yeah i saw It on youtube, flars everywhere, you are crazy there and the fireworks were much bigger then when i was in Munchen and Wien.

OK maybe Madonna is more popular here in Greece than AC/DC, and I think around the world, but don't forget that with Madonna there was a big promotion over a month on T.V bombarding us with shit about her life and highlights of previous concerts!!! That's why everybody went to see her even people that were never a big Madonna fan but going just for the fun of it??!! On the other hand to see AC/DC was a lust for their fans. Which means more enthousiasm and sensation. But as I say who gives a shit if it wasn't a sell out, the fans were so crazy it felt like one.

It depends on the country in some the AC/DC are more popular (Germany, Australia.....). Here in Slovenia when she comes in Avgust I dont know if she will sell around 30.000 tickets for 65.000 capacity. Crazy you were, so you are right who cares if it wasnt a sell out, The thing that counts is that you rocked hard with AC/DC. And those flares were awsome. Ride on.

By the way, i think a Pit is something for a punk or New Metal concert and has nothing to do with AC/DC or Rock'n'Roll. Remember, the guy next to you, who is not in the pit, could be a fan for decades and want so see the band and maybe he's not interested in touching half-naked guys! If you are in a Pit you see nothing of the band wich is playing for you! At an AC/DC concert i want so see the guys on stage, make so much noise that i can, jump around, put my hands in the air, sing every song with the guys, shake my head and my hair and wanna have a good time. For example, people who are drinking too much at an AC/DC concert were not there because of the music. And do a pit disturbes me having a rocking AC/DC night.

First of all.AC/DC is not the biggest group in Greece. It's a shame but it's the truth. For the pit. Most of the people expect it in Greece. Also if you don't want to get to a pit, nobody will "shuck" you in.Well expect if you go to a death metal gig or something :)) Did you see how close i was to the pit?And how easily i taped it? Ok apart from a fact that it's called "Sapator's pit experience extravaganza" (:P) is that nobody forced me to get in the pit.On Let there be rock i did a little pitting and i went out.You get the idea? Also it has to do with how people react on shows in every country. Glad many people liked the Athens gig.AC/DC probably wont come here ever again(they were pissed off with some staff that took place) but ok WHAT A F&CKING NIGHT!!

Come on now Sap, we all know you think European fans are better, but you're comparing the dress rehearsal to their 80th show on the tour? Not fair. Besides, the American venues have seats.

Oh yeah, and in America, everyone is up their own asses about their right and all that crap. You can't have a pit at an AC/DC concert where there are businessmen who used to like them in the 80's and other casual fans like that. If you ask me, people have too many rights.

I think we all think that European fans are better.Even AC/DC with all their official videos filmed in Europa. Well ok, show me a US concert that has spark :) We also have businessmen here you know ;) That they make their deals and don't know who they can trust :) "If you ask me, people have too many rights."????? That hit me like a fascist remark, can you elaborate more?No offense but...

Hey hey now. No one ever said fascism didn't work; that's communism. Just the whole issue with the killing of innocent people that was a problem. But otherwise...workable.

I blame the chairs! Besides, if everyone else is standing around, I don't wanna be the guy who's dancing around by himself. And it was supposed to come off more George Carlin-y than Fascist.
