So AC/DC will be playing in Glasgow tomorrow and was wondering if any special song will be played and who all will be going. I expect to hear Fling Thing and maybe a special song of some sorts but the chances of the latter happening are slim. I have managed to fork up the money to travel all the way from here in Ohio all the way to the Scotland to see them in somewhat home territory.

I doubt even Fling Thing. This tour has been stale as hell.

Fling Thing will probably be bonny IF it is played. If we hear something I think it will be Stiff Upper Lip, Hard As A Rock or something from Powerage.

well in all honesty, it was a good gig, not a great gig,and i aint convinced mr Johnson aint mimin at times going by the screens, even allowing for signal delay, when the vocal is coming thru the PA, yer lips are meant to move Bri! And who the Fuck are the subways??? the answer opened fist and they were second on,if they kissed Glasgows arse once they done it a dozen times. Ive seen better local support bands in The Cathouse in Glasgow, yeah they were that bad, seemingly AC/DC were the singer/guitarists first ever gig when he was 12, that musta been the SUL tour then!! DC? well sorry folks, but for my money, what with the expectations,ie. final tour, hometown gig etc, something special was hoped for. And we got.....................................FUCK ALL!!!!!! AC/DC, a technically proficient gig, hitting all the right buttons, big train, big bell, wee run down the walkway, over extended solo/toilet break on the riser for Angus, inflatable Rosie etc etc etc Basically the touring AC/DC greatest hits jukebox came, they saw, they counted the takings. I heard from one of the merch team, theyrre back in europe in 2010, heres hoping they lift there game. this is just my opinion you understand, but for £60 I wasnt the only one who thought it was flat, roll on the dvd,at least I can pause that. going to see Springsteen in 2 weeks thank god,at least he relly plays for every gig, doesnt just go thru the moves, and hes £15 less and your guaranteed longer. Sorry to piss on anyones parade, but this as I said is only my view, IT WAS technically perfect, but so what id ave been as well int the house with the rehearsal gig dvd on, at least then they were fresh

I think their shows have became too predicted. That also goes in a lesser amount for the SUL tour but then i was younger and i was like "i'll see my idols!" that i wasn't paying any attention to details. Anyway in general i'm angry that i was too young to go to the Ballbreaker tour, i think it tops anything from 1983 and above (as seen on your local tv screen), with the exception of Donigton.

I agree with both of you guys. I was disappointed at MSG. Sure, it was early into the tour, and I wasn't expecting any setlist changes, but the fact that there were NO surprises was boring. I'm not a Bon fan, but I like that he always changed how he sung the verses, at every show (sometimes due to drunkenness, but whatever). And why is Brian singing Thunderstruck wrong all the sudden? Did anyone else notice he sings the intro about a beat too late? And I hate that he says "We're back" during BIB, as previously mentioned. And also during Thunderstruck, he says "The thunder of guuunsyeah" That drives me nuts! And I agree with Sap that the BB tour must have rocked. BTW, I wonder if there was another concert from that tour that was taped, because every other tour got two shows taped (i.e. Moscow '91, Paris '01). And Daclarob, I heard there were problems with the sound system, and that's why the whole band was ahead of the speakers and cameras. Brian would never phone in a concert. Ugh... I just hope it's not that same "rolling jukebox" that rolls through Foxborough this month...

I feel we shouldn't expect a whole lot from the band. The Glasgow gig was alright, I loved the Bonny intro to Highway to Hell.

boothjorden said "I feel we shouldn't expect a whole lot from the band. The Glasgow gig was alright, I loved the Bonny intro to Highway to Hell." call me devils advocate if you loke here, but please explain to me why we shouldnt expect a whole lot from the band. I mean, after all we wait 8 years for an OK'ish album, and we get carbon copy gigs in every city they play for extortionate ticket prices, you want proof?,the only difference ive seen is when Brian says "good singing " during The Jackand "We salute you.....(enter city of choice here)" during FTATR. As I say, maybe im old fashioned, but I thought rock n roll was organic and spontaneous, not over rehearsed and super slick,or am I cofusing showbusiness with R'n'R here? possibly. AS i said ,forgive me for thinking that they meant it in the 80s when they said they had the best fans in the world, maybe they meant the most likely to part with their hard earned for anything we decide to do. A cynical view I know, but hey I wasnt the only one expressing it at Glasgow, and I personally witnessed at least 2-3000 people leaving before the "encore",which as far as im concerned is a joke in itself, anyone who has the remotest interest in the band know theyre going to finish on FTATR!,how many encores have they done in 30 odd years? about 3 or so? As far as the Glasgow gig went, it was technically perfect, they hit the notes, they done the usual singalongs, they ran up and down the walkway, Mal n Cliff came forward 14 steps sang a chorus went back 14 steps, all tightly rehearsed and slick as. Never thought Id say this, but if youve seen it once youve seen it amillion times, therefore a bit boring really. As for the question why they dont change the setlist.............THEY DONT HAVE TO!!!!, they done nothing for 8 yrs people, came back with an album that IS GOOD but not great, announced a tour AND WE LAPPED IT UP and made them what? 80,000 000 + in the process so far,Wh change what obviously works? Heres one guy,who having seen em countless times since 78, hope that this is their final tour because as far as i can see theyre getting awfully close to being a caricature of what they once were. FOR THOSE WHO USED TO ROCK....WE SALUTE YOU

I don't know of the chances to stop. Did Stones stopped?Did Sabbath stopped?Dip Purple?Etc. I think it's like a drug to get on stage and feel alive when you are growing up.

I agree with daclarob. Except I think the album would have been great if O'Brien didn't f**k it up. Rubin would have done a great job. Hell, even AC/DC would have done better than O'Brien IMO. I also agree that the "Encore" is BS. Money talks, BS walks... or duckwalks I guess in this case... The worst part is that they're getting great reviews from "passerby fans" as I call them. If you look at any review on a magazine website, it's always some guy who hasn't seen them (or listened to them) in 30 years. And the review is glowing. He loves that they played all the hits, and he loves that they all still do their signature moves (we already knew they would). And of course he only slams them for playing new songs, but he kind of likes RNR Train. Am I getting it right? And he doesn't stop for one second to think that the big fans may have wanted to hear rare songs. And it sickens me that AC/DC caters to these "passerby fans".
