OFFICIAL Black Ice tour DVD?
Will there ever be an official Black Ice tour DVD anytime soon? Please put any info here that you can.
Not anytime soon. It will probably be released and overhyped about three to six months after this tour is done.
there will most likly be one but they normally do it in europe
there should be and will probably be from Scotland or Australia if this is indeed thier last tour
I'm waiting for the next tour DVD, this time it will probably have more BI songs than only one SUL song from that DVD. It's a mystery if one of the Paris shows from 2/25 and 2/27 will be used since they recorded the whole show or will there be another show filmed.
i hope they put out a dvd of this tour soon.
i hope they use paris because they recorded paris in 2001 and then didn't release it
DVDs AC/DC should release: Let There Be Rock - Paris 1979 Glasgow 1978 Sight and Sound 1977 Largo 1981 Detroit 1983 Anything they may have recorded between 1985 and 1988 Moscow 1991 A decent 1996 pro-shot tour show Paris 2001 Toronto 2003 In the future: Glasgow 2009 Sydney 2010
Toronto and Moscow are there (not officially) A descent 1996?No bull? Let there be rock exists but must be released official in blue ray. As for Paris.Judging from what i saw in the Ballbreakers dvd, the production is not very good.Maybe that is why they release Munich instead.Pity cuz it's the best live show i've ever been in my life. Not talking about the crowd (Greece was the top of all) but as a setlist - Performance etc. Of course i've never been to a pre 2000 show :(
They did release three songs from the Paris '01 concert on Plug Me In. Hard as a Rock , Hells Bells & Ride On
I don't know why I should have to explain this, but when I'm saying DVD releases, I mean the COMPLETE shows, not the poorly captured, terribly sounding SNIPPETS that are available on Plug Me In. Telling me that they exist on Plug Me In is kind of stating the obvious, don't you think? Another obvious DVD release that they should release IN FULL: VH1 1996
Hey at least they released those RARE, terribly sounding snippets. Wish I had the 3 disc version but I can't find it.
Notangus i understand what you are saying. But Toronto,Let there,Vh1 and Moscow exist as COMPLETE SHOWS and the quality is Professional. I did not have in mind Plug Me In when i said it. I had in mind my DVD collection ;) As for Paris. From what i saw on Plug me in, i say that it's better not to release this show if they quality is the same.If not, then ok they should release it.
Boothjorden, unless a show has those big cameras that stick out over the audience, it isn't being recorded for a DVD. So the only Paris show that was recorded was Bercy, and that was an indoor gig, so there's no way it's the DVD. I'm guessing it has to be one of the upcoming American shows. I know you guys would hate the thought of it, but it's a strong possibility. More chances of that than an Aussie DVD.
@ sapator where do you get that Moscow version? @ the rest I donīt care where they record there BI DVD I just hope they release a DVD with more older classics, which I believe will happen on the third american leg of the tour
Patrick the Moscow version if i remember correctly was send to me by a French Friend.Had an AC/DC site but i cannot recall (site language was French), Toronto i have the "official" DVD bought it, err VH1 boot DVD, Let there be rock i have it on VHS,DVD twice and a boot one DVD i bought from ebay and the other versions i didn't know i even had them till i checked my collection today :) .
@ sap well the moscow dvd with the sound on Plug me in or the old vhs seems to be intressting
VH1 is great. It has the ongoing rehearsals etc. Moscow is ok but the problem is that it's not showing almost any audience, just the band.
Ah, now that i remember.I have a pro-boot of 85 Rio it is? Well that show MUST be released clearer and with better sound!
Rio was an awesome show, and I would love to see that one released in better quality, but I think Plug Me In proved that they really don't have any hidden gems from the 80's that are great quality. Rio could have fit in Plug Me In IMO.
Going back to what you (sapator) mentioned about not showing much of the audience, I think thats what I dont like about several parts of plug me in. Especially like the Sydney concert in '96, where we only see the audience when Brian briefly talks before hail ceaser. A DVD containing live performances should feature the crowd more, to soak up better atmosphere. I also dont like the fact that the audience have been significantly turned down on several parts of the DVD.
As far as the audience, I only think you don't see much of them because nobody really bothered with the camera angles. If they were to release Moscow on a DVD, they would change the camera angles and add more crowd like Donnington.
