How to make mp3 files louder
Heres a question for you guys, is it possible to make mp3 files louder? Does bit rate have anything to do with it? I know that you can make the adjustment on itunes, but that only goes so far. Thanks in advance.
If your talking about after they've been recorded using a function in an editing program like Audacity (the Amplify function) will boost the volume to the tracks capacity (without clipping or distortion). Any audio editing software should have a function like that. Audacity is free software. Bit rate is more the quality of the sound of the recording.
If the straight amplify doesn't make it louder, one can (with great discretion...please) use a compressor.
