Copyrighting concert photos

Today I found some really nice pictures online taken from AC/DC's recent stops in places like Wembley Arena and Dortmund. I thought they'd really look good for doing up cd bootleg artwork. One thing I noticed about all the pics was that there was a copyright symbol next to the website's name in small print in the bottom corner. I'd like to make up some cd artwork and pass it onto people like yourselves but that copyright thing got me confused about on thing. How can anyone go into a concert and take pictures of someone like Angus Young on stage and copyright? I just find it funny how a person can take pictures of someone even without their permission and copyright it. If that be the case then even Angus himself can't even use the "alleged copyrighted" pictures of himself without the permission of the owner. Thanks guys and take care

i agree with you. you couldnt take a photo of someone or something and copyright it. I mean when I shot a phodo of a nice landscape i cant say I copyright/own that place.
