2 Christmas's ago, I went to my local mall into to go Christmas shopping and came across an FYE and bought Family Jewels and Plug Me In (2 DVD). When I found there was a 3 DVD version of Plug Me In I went back and there was no 3 DVD version, I then went to my local Wal-Mart and K-Mart and still did not find the 2 DVD version. Compared to the amount of the standard 2 DVD edition's I have found, was the 3 dvd edition limited or not widely produced or were they only sold in certain locations or stores?

I went to my local Dearborn Music and picked it up (the 3 disc) for 40 or 45 dollars as it was on sale. But It might of been only at certain stores.

I don't think it was rare. I got the 3DVD from Amazon when it came out. It was easy to get online, but maybe not widely available in stores.

Wasn't rare when it first came out. It was available everywhere at the time, and I believe I've still seen it in our local Best Buy.

Nate: I haven't really seen a best buy around my part of town here in Columbus but I'm sure there is on hidden around here somewhere. There's a Wal-Mart over in Whitehall and a K-Mart in Reynoldsburg and that's about it from what I have seen, I'll look around and see. Danger101: I got my 2 disc set for something like $19.99 when it was on sale, kinda strange how much the price goes up for one extra disc. I wish I could use amazon, but I don't control the credit card in my household.

re: boothjorden's comment: "Danger101: I got my 2 disc set for something like $19.99 when it was on sale, kinda strange how much the price goes up for one extra disc. " If you think you were soaked with that "deal", give a thought to the Family Jewels set. Overall, both discs added up to, at best, 90 minutes, but I can almost guarantee that together it was far less than that. Now, the argument would be that "they had to divide it up into Bon and Brian discs" to which my responses is, "Hell no!" When DVDs first came out, the main selling point, the reason they were charging us $25-$30/pop was because - surprise surprise! - they had these funny little things called "Chapter Menus". They could easily have put the complete content of Family Jewels on one dual-layer DVD and made the clear "Bon" and "Brian" divisions by creating "Chapter menus" - one for Bon, one for Brian. But alas, it was far more profitable to divide it into two and charge $30-$45 for the set. The HMV in my city only recently dropped the price of Family Jewels to $20 and that's because they're trying to upsell us into Blu-Ray. To do that, they have to get rid of all of their DVDs. Now, think how much a Blu-Ray disc can hold. I bet you that a Blu-Ray could hold all of 2 DVD Family Jewels content AND all of the 3 DVD Plug Me In content with no trouble at all. If there was any problem, they could easily divide it into two. Considering that Plug Me In is really just an extension of the Family Jewels set, especially on the Bon side with most of the Bon content on both sets coming from the same shows (Apollo, Hippodrome, etc), do you think this is going to happen? Hell no! First, we will get a big announcement with Sony's idiot marketers assigned to the AC/DC account speaking in condescending terms to their audience about what a joy it will be to own the Family Jewels set in 1920x1280 resolution rather than 720x480 resolution. Then, once they've soaked us on that, they will do the same for Plug Me In, probably labelling it some sort of "Special Edition" or some such bullshit. Is it worth it? Very likely not. Will Sony continue to make money off of such idiotic pronouncements and the blatant rape and pillage of AC/DC's fanbase? Very likely so. So the cycle will continue until the 'DC fanbase calls for quality, honest products and the for Sony's marketers to stop treating them like schmo's. Will AC/DC's fans ever demand better? A few here might. At least some here are calling for a "shook up" setlist and it only took 10 months into the tour. As for better product, cheaper prices and less condescending marketing, the only way to fight that is to say no to the hype and wait to buy the product at a reasonable price, rather than the "immediate release" price. So, to reiterate, yeah, you got soaked paying for an extra DVD. It adds insult to injury when you realize that there is no reason for that extra DVD to exist.

@ RnR about Blu Ray thing the screwed up the Quality of No Bull. I mean the remastered DVD looks very good, but the Blu Ray looks more like someone coverted the videos into that solution.

With the exception of the Blue Ray,(Don't have one, don't care for now) an average fan would find the Jewel and the Plug very nice. Personally first i got the Promo sets of Family and Plug and then i decided to spend the euros cuz i'm to bored to gather all my ac/dc stuff from around my hard drives and cd's. As for how rare is the Plug me in 3dvd set...Not rare. Rare is the 2 DVD promo set that i have :)
