go to http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ and download the free suite of programs which includes video to DVD converter DVD decrypter all in all about 23 useful programs

Actually, if you have a DVD player that can play DivX avi files, all you need is to convert them over to that... My player does that, and while they look a bit "pixel"-y on screen, they will not look any better going from .avi/.mpg to DVD video.

i recently discovered convertxtodvd, nothing special but it gets the job done good
