Backtracks Standard in stores Tuesday
Thanks for the heads up on this from a post on alt.rock-n-roll.acdc For those interested, the standard edition of Backtracks will be in stores (Best Buy, Target for sure) on Tuesday: Best Buy - $24.99 Target - $24.99
thanks for the info, Nate! i already have the deluxe amp and i don't need to worry about tuesday. but i'll pop into a best buy to see if it's there, just for fun.
hm... pretty decent price, might drop by and get myself a copy.
wow, I was gonna order it from AC/DC, but I might just stop by Target and get it.
It's the one without the Circus Krone DVD or a different one? If it's the first i think i'll pass.
ha!!!!! ahead of some people!!! i pre-ordered backtracks standard, an im geting it the 14th!!!
Sap The standard copy does not have the Krone gig, only: - studio rarities - 1 disc of live rarities - family jewels disc 3 Very similar to the way Plug Me In was released with 2 editions.
I went in to best buy to get it, and they were sold out, so then I went to my target and they said it wouldn't be in until tomorrow. god, I am mad.
There were a handful at Best Buy this morning, but not a ton. Didn't see the deluxe anywhere, but I wasn't really expecting to with the high price.
I think the only way you can get the deluxe package is to order it online. I ordered the deluxe version this past Sunday after I had seen the Best Buy and Target ads only listing the standard version for $24.99.
$39.95 for the standard box at HMV here in Canada. I think the lack of the Donington and the Madrid tracks on the standard box is really an implicit acknowledgement of what a rip-off the "amp and stickers" box actually is. In other words, hardcore fans and even mid-level fans probably already own the DVDs and/or the audio rips from those DVDs of the Donington and Madrid shows, so there's no need for them to be on the "standard" version That Circus Krone DVD looks and probably sounds kick-ass, but I haven't seen anything yet that has convinced me it is worth over $200 CDN.
i went to best buy to look for it. it was nothing. good thing i bought the deluxe edition.
@RnRDamnation: HMV tends to be more expensive when it comes to, well, nearly everything. I'm going to try looking at Wal-Mart sometime soon; they had it listed on their website, but without a price.
Why can't they just have a standard edition with all the disc and a super edition ie the amp and all that carry on. Would like all the discs but not spending £200 bucks on it
Another update- Wal-Mart has it, not sure if all have it but mine has it, and they have it online.
