January 9, 1996 - Sun Coast Dome, Tampa, FL, USA I've tried to find this show, but I can't. Does ANYONE have these rehearsals?

The Ballbreaker tour rehearsals have not surfaced yet as far as I know.

My God - look at this rehearsal list: Set List: 1) D.T. 2) Chase the Ace 3) Rock and Roll Damnation 4) The Furor 5) The Honey Roll 6) Caught with Your Pants Down 7) Whiskey on the Rocks 8) Riff Raff 9) Gone Shootin' 10) What's Next to the Moon 11) Sin City 12) Fire Your Guns 13) Moneytalks 14) Heatseeker 15) Who Made Who 16) What Do You Do for Money Honey 17) Rocker 18) Bad Boy Boogie 19) Go Down 20) High Voltage 21) Big Gun and then we end up with a McShow. Actually, the Ballbreaker tour took a few chances, but compared to what was rehearsed (DT and Chase the Ace, The Furor and Go Down, even Big Gun!!!) what we got was only the tip of the iceberg. C'mon AC/DC, don't be afraid of your own depth!!!

RnR Damnation, Where did you get your information from? Sounds like a bunch of b.s. to me.

acdc74: I got it from this site. I think you're confusing rehearsals with the final dress rehearsal show, as with the Black Ice show. Look at the rehearsal setlist again: How many of those songs are from the Razor's Edge tour? How many are on-again/off-again classics (a la Sin City)? How many are from Ballbreaker? How many ended up in the VH1 show? How many ended up in in the 2000-2003 shows? Considering that the band were practicing Dog Eat Dog and Riff Raff during the New Orleans rehearsals in 1986 but did not play them live until 1996, this rehearsal setlist seems entirely plausible.

RnR Damnation, I am not confusing the Ballbreaker rehearsals with the Black Ice rehearsal show.........I think I know the difference. I can agree that some of these songs may have been rehearsed but I find it ridiculous that you are buying the information that DT, Chase The Ace and Big Gun were among them. I think someone is pulling your leg.

acdc74: Are you absolutely sure you're not thinking these songs were performed at a live rehearsal? Because I said nothing of the kind. If someone is pulling my leg, they're pulling the legs of everyone on this site. I'd advise you to take your case to BigNate and back it up with facts, since you seem to know more. Big Gun in rehearsal? Perfectly plausible, considering the song is a) AWESOME! and b) was just released a few years before. As for DT and Chase the Ace, I'm guessing these songs were developed in rehearsal/soundchecks long before Stephen King needed some intrumental music to prop up his film. As Rick Rubin said, AC/DC are a pretty incredible instrumental band, so it does not seem out of place for them to warm themselves up with a few jams they created years before. As for playing those songs live, we all know the instrumentals aren't going to happen... That being said, they should. It would give Brian a chance to rest his voice and the jams truly rock, so they should just cut loose once in a while. As I said before, take your complaints to BigNate. This is his site and this is where I (and bigjack13, I presume) have pulled the setlist from.

RnRDamanation, I don't have a complaint to take to Nate. I have traded with Nate several times and have nothing but the utmost respect for him and graciously thank him for having a site such as this. Anything is plausible I agree, but Nate mentions that this rehearsal list is simply a RUMOR presented in different books. If we all had a nickel for every b.s. rumor that has been fed to the masses i.e. the number of different album titles that there were before Black Ice came out, we would all be retired. A lot of these books are filled with b.s. as well. Maximum Rock n Roll is the only book I truly believe to be 100% accurate or as close as humanly possible. I have several AC/DC books and many of them contain glaring errors. I am not here to start arguments.....but I am entitled to my opinion and I do not believe that every song on the rumored list was rehearsed. Do I have any facts? Absolutely not. Nor does anyone else have any facts until a bootleg surfaces which is a shame because this would be an excellent find. Peace out.

The majority of the set lists in the concert history have been submitted by members of the site. I obviously don't have a way of confirming most of them, so I take the members word that they are correct. I try to avoid posting anything that is not plausible, but since these are rehearsals who knows what they pulled out. I do remember reading that Big Gun was definitely rehearsed (Maximum Rock n Roll) along with a few others, before being cut for the final set list. I personally don't think some of the songs were played either, but that's just my opinion. I have also heard a rumor of video existing from one of the rehearsals, but do not know of any tracks. The last I heard about it is that the owner of the video wanted to stay off the grid and keep the video private.
