Awhile back I read that there was an alternate mix of the Powerage album (might have been the original European version if memory serves me right). Does anybody know if there's a CD pressing of it? Even if it's just a copy from the vinyl. Thanx.

There's copies floating around, usually transferred from vinyl/ cassette, i've done a few myself, but it hasn't seen an official release yet.

The problem is, most are incomplete, usually from skipping/jumping of the needle, and most don't care to fix it. The other problem being the complete and good rips, are done as MP3s, and thus suck.

Nothing official on CD. I have it transferred from LP to Cassette also, from a friend of mine but he missed the first few seconds. I remember a good version floating on the net but i don't know if you can find it now.

Thanks people. I found it last night on the web as WMA's but the cracks and pops from the vinyl transfer make it a bit hard to listen to and enjoy. For those that have heard it, is it just me or does it sound as if Angus (or Malcolm) makes a lot of mistakes on the original mix? Maybe it's just my ears but it seemed as if there were several bum notes being hit (Sin City comes to mind).

I found a guy on YouTube who had transfered his vinyl copy and uploaded the songs. I asked for a download link, and he was nice enough to upload it for me. Here you go: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KIHYU59H I haven't listened to it in a while, but if I remember correctly the quality was great.

I'm wondering if anyone has a good quality rip in lossless kicking around. You'd be my new friend if you did.

i had some ones floating around, ive seen a torrent of them in FLAC but the only one that seemed to work good was rock and roll damnation and im under the impression its not with the mix, ive never heard the mix for it, it supposidly has a longer ending?

Yeah, I got that one off Demonoid. It's pretty shitty, and unfortunately my vinyl copy isn't in much better condition. If I was more patient, I'd find a way to match up the missing parts with my copy or vice versa.
