Hi, I'm new to this Forum
Hi, I'm new to this Forum. Look forward to many great AC/DC music discussions.
Be prepared to be frustrated, angry, and generally called a wanker. I apologize in advance.
Welcome! its always fun to meet new fans! have you seen any of the shows on this tour yet?
welcome to the forum, you're going to enjoy it alot
Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Why will I be called a Wanker, BrianJohnson888? No, I haven't seen any of the shows on this tour, LiveWire101.
If you say something wrong or agree with something that no one does you'll be called a wanker. Most likely by Sapator i think lol. But anyways, welcome to the wonderful world of AC/DC bootlegs. are you planning to see them in Australia?
Hi ruddisgod667, If all goes well, I may now see the Boys in Brisbane, in Feb. 2010. Are you seeing them on this tour?
Sorry, ruddisgod667, I've just noticed that you've seen them three times already, on this tour!! How were the shows?
Hahaha!I was expecting the Sapator comment :P Douglas you wanker! :) Nah good to see new blood on the AC/DC wagon, even if they have disappointed me the last year.
Douglas Paul: The shows were amazing. If you go on the past concert page and look at the pics, youll see where I sat. But the crowds disappointed me but I hope you have a blast seeing them in Brisbane. They are worth seeing.
That's funny, sapator! Why do you say that AC/DC have disappointed you in the last year?
Welcome Doug Nice to see you made it to acdc-boots as well, cheers.
Douglas. Basically they play the same setlist, their moves looks 100% predetermined and of course the boxset abomination. Also the sound in Athens wasn't very good, Milan was quieter but more clear. And i thought after 8 years they would come up with a better album, that's my opinion , the other stuff mention are most of the fans opinion.
sapator, one more thing to add to the list of what disappointed you lately, Anything Goes!
Thanks for that, boothjorden. Good to talk to you here as well.
G'dday, sapator, I can understand now, why you're disappointed. Maybe, as far as their moves go, though, that's all the poor old buggers can manage these days: I'm 48 years old and feel like I'm 100 on some days, so Angus and the boys are even older than me! I agree with you about the setlist: I think we all deserve a better one. Also, I'd be pissed off, too, if the sound quality wasn't good at one of their concerts: with the money they're making, they should be able to ensure that the sound is 100% spot on at every bloody concert!! I don't mind Black Ice, but I'd certainly have to say that it's not of the same standard as some their earlier classics, particularly of the Bon Scott era (not that I'm biased at all!!!!!). As far as Backtracks go, I've actually ordered the Standard Edition, from Amazon.com.uk. because for all the extra money for the Deluxe edition I'm not interested in having to stuff around with a bloody Vinyl LP: I grew up with records, and compared to CDs, I reckon they're a pain in the Arse!! Anyway, how's all this for starters?!!
welcome to the madhouse Douglas, agree with your points bud, enjoy your time here Dave
Thanks for your welcome, Dave. It's good to be here.
So an anonymous tip circulating the net that they will change the setlist. That's good. Douglas, it's not about their fitness that i have a problem (this would have been pretty stupid), it's the fact that they make exactly the same moves on every show.Sure, the bell ring, the "under Brians pants" guitar trick on Highway to Hell (i miss the "give me your hat your arshole" in hell's bell's),etc, they are the standards but other that that i see all their other moves (even how many times Angus will walk this way or that way) being robotized. I think it's more easy to let loose and do some stuff unpredictable that having to remember every single move you "must" do.
Yeah, good points you've got there, sapator!! Thanks for those, Mate. I see what you mean.
Yeah, sorry, crispy! Just when you thought you'd had enough of me, on the other Forum! It's good to talk to you here, too.
Hi LiveWire101, My favourite album is POWERAGE. I just reckon that the lyrics are brilliant, the tunes are good, and the album is well produced. Bon is in good form as always! How about you? What's your favourite Album?
Douglas, you are here too???? WTF??? Did you just get a PC or something? You are everywhere. Have you tried Rising Power forum yet? wait, don;t do that, I wouldnt do that to you! ruddisgod, why did u not like the crowd? USA crowds are fun man, different culture here, different seating setup but still a GREAT time. No moshing and shit that you see in other countries becuase...well, we are more sophisticated here and most people at the show are boozing and hanging out rocking.
Hi GoZone, That's funny about getting a new PC!! No, I just love AC/DC and talking about them. It's good to see you here, too. Hey, thanks for mentioning the Rising Power Forum!! I'm going to go and join it now!!
GoZone: I love the fact that I was able to see the band on the floor because of the lack of movement but I hated that too. I saw this at The Who show I went to and the KISS concert I've seen. The crowd just doesn't get into the music like the europeans or the south americans. It would be amazing if the american crowds rocked out as much as they do but I doubt that's gonna happen. Sure a few people in the crowd you can see really rocking out but thats maybe 1,000 people in a 10,000 seat venue. It's a massive shame that the band puts their blood, sweat, and guts on the stage to a crowd that doesn't look like they're enjoying it. My wish is to see AC/DC properly, in Glasgow or in Australia where I know the crowds are just amazing.
hey Douglas! my favorite album is Highway To Hell it was the last/best album with Bon Scott. The production is top notch because of Mutt Lange. Also the songs on the album are AMAZING! its a perfect album to end an amazing era! R.I.P BON! but my second favorite is probably FTATR because its amazing!
Yeah, I reckon Highway to Hell is a great Album, too, LiveWire101, and infact, it's probably my second favourite album next to Powerage.
I have to agree with Sap on Black Ice. I think the ideas were there but they should have taken them a little further, they just sound like unfinished ideas to me. And of course you all know how I feel about the production of Black Ice...
Yeah, good points, suicidehummer. I must agree with you.
Welcome to the forum where no matter what the original post is about, eventually someone will use it to complain about either the setlist, Backtracks, or both. All that aside, this is by far the best place that I have found for AC/DC info and discussions. And don't get me wrong, I think that it's great that the complainers are keeping AC/DC in check, it's just that the constant negativity gets a little tiresome. I'm with you on Powerage. That album stands in a class of its own when I choose to rank my favorites!
And also happens that most of the complainers are hardcore fans for years and even decades... I believe (as i see for myself) that AC/DC could have done 1-2 simple things and everyone would be, if not perfectly happy, at least in a medium state. 1)Setlist (they still have time for that...) 2)(NO)Rare boxsets (they must go out and whip themselves, get covered with hot tar and feathers and eat 100000$ each with only the aid of bread and water). 3)Let it loose, no robotic moves (put a electricity collar, in Ang mostly, and if he makes the same stuff push the button and watch him go). Ah and 4) Come to Greece i don't wanna travel again :P
Hey, erudite, Yeah, POWERAGE is brilliant, isn't it!!!!!!! Good comments, too, Mate!
I like your comments, sapator!!!!!! Good ones, Mate!!
