Hey guys I wanted to know what your favorite album was, and why. Mine has to be either Powerage, or Ballbreaker. Why? because the have some kick-ass songs like Whats Next To The Moon, Gone Shootin, Kicked In The Teeth Again, Burnin Alive, Cover You In Oil, and The Furor

Wow Donney I would pick the exact same two albums! If I had to choose one though, I'd say Ballbreaker just because of the excellent production. I mean, Angus isn't too overdriven (unlike TRE, BI) and Mal is loud and clear. Maybe I'm biased because I love that Gretsch Filtertron sound but it really does carry the song on it's back. And Phil.... what a comeback. Phil sounds just fantastic. He's still hitting them hard just like before he left the band, and Rubin perfectly captured what he should sound like. Brian is belting his hardest yet because he knows he's losing it so he's trying to make up for it with sheer force. This album may have wrecked his voice for the tour but it was worth it. And of course Angus brought out all his old SGs for this album.

Hmm...I would have to say the Aussie version of DDDDC. I love the gritty and dirty feel that that album has. Plus it has three of my favorite AC/DC songs on it...Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Jailbreak and Ain't No Fun Waitin' Around To Be a Millionaire. TNT would be a close second.

Well, mine's POWERAGE, simple because I reckon the lyrics and melodies are great in every song on the Album. I also like the production, because Bon's voice is nice and clear. It's also good to hear Cliff Williams on bass for the first time, too!

Highway To Hell.......because it is the greatest album ever made. Powerage is the 2nd best album ever made.

I agree, acdc74, Highway to Hell is brilliant, and in fact, it's my second favourite album, only a fraction behind Powerage for me! Also, of course, Highway to Hell is a brilliant song: one of their best, ever! Great lyrics!

Highway To Hell is my second favorite, Powerage is my favorite because of the songs, but Highway To Hell I think is Bon at his best, Its a shame he had to die at a young age.

My favorite album is Live from 92, because of the great live songs on it and plus Brian doing an awesome job on TNT and Highway to Hell, My second choice is The Razors Edge, because of Thunderstruck being on the album along with Moneytalks and shot of love.

I'm guessing it was the song LTBR that got ya Sap? Good to see some Powerage support! Anyone else think Bon had a little heartbreak in his life during the writing of that album? The lyrics are almost all about women and them breaking your heart.

Powerage. Songs like Up to My Neck and Rock and Roll Damnation define what Rock and Roll should be. Every single song on that album is a masterpiece. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I LOVE about 90% of AC/DC's catalog, but I like Powerage twice as much as anything else they've ever put out.

suicidehummer, I think Bon's divorce from his wife, Irene, came through in 1978, the year that Powerage was released, and apparently he was very upset when that happened. That's all I know, though, sorry.

Bah, no problem, i'm not offender. Yes i had my neck injured, not broken but really injured. It was back when i was 18-19. something like that. The song if i recall correctly was Rosie. Was a local band gig, we were ending with an DC song.Fortunately i felt most of the pain right after our band had finished.Man i remember times when i felt my brain was moving inside my head from headbanging but i had to calm it down a little after that accident.

No, well sorry to hear that, anyway, sapator. I know what an injured neck's like, though. I damaged mine in a bloody car accident, and I was just a bloody passenger. Hey, good on you for playing in a band, eh! I used to play rhythm guitar in my younger brother's band, back in the early 1980's, when I was in my early twenties. I'm an old bastard of 48 years, now!

I've playing Lead for 15 years but i've stopped for a year or so. I can't get any motivation since music in Greece and especially AC/DC type is not appreciated. Also if i wanted to do something musically i would have to flee the country for England or Germany or Sweden or US but that is not an option because i detest the climate of North Europe and US, well i prefer freedom :) P.S. in the early 80's i was drinking milk and pissing on my underwear :P

That's a shame about music in Greece, sapator. Hey, that was a very funny comment you made in the P.S. there! I like your sense of humour! Also, why don't you emigrate to Australia?!!

Good for you man. I would like to suggest to come to Greece but we are learned to some stuff here.So if you can live with: Crossing with Red light and a car passes, almost run you over and the police don't give a f#ck. Low salaries.1000-1300Euros top for Programmers,as i am. You get drunk and drive, get a beer at 13, don't wear seatbelts talk to mobile while driving, pass red lights and smoke in every place imaginable.Nobody gives a flying f$ck. 19% vat , but you can steal from IRS.Everybody does it fun to play with and again nobody gives a f#ck. Weather is dry.Best weather ever!!Today we had 14celcius in the middle of winter! Ok we have good health insurance. How cum? Low crime percentage in Athens, higher outside. Carrying guns...Well we don't.So killing must be done with knifes, spoons, electrical appliances(p.e. chainsaw) and neurotic killing robot clowns. WTF?I've been to England and other countries and after 9 the streets are empty. Here you can go out at night almost everyday and in Friday/Saturday the night streets are packed at 3 like it was 12 in the afternoon. Pensions.Well we have these but you must be 65 to get them.Except if you work in some Ministry, general in a non Private sector. Non private sectors.Ministries, public schools etc..You pick your nose till 65 and then you get pension.Or you can find "inside help" and pick your nose and scratch your balls till 55 and then you get pension. Private sector...You're F$cked! What else...Ah, you may not own a house but you can own a Porsche.Go to people you know in an insurance company and insure it like a Hyundai Accent. No taxes :P We drive on the RIGHT.The RIGHT!!The wheel is on friking left god dammit!Ah we also have manual transmition, so we are actually driving and not pretend to. We steal music we steal movies we steal programs!F#CK YOU,INTERNET'S JOB IS THAT!Nah nah nah naaah naaahhh you can't areeest meeee!F%CK YOU METALICA$$ i stole your musiicc!I've worked for the Ministry of labor as an administrator and everyone asked me how to download music!Hell yeah! The woman...Ahh the woman here are beautiful but they will never talk talk to you first.Never! Also if you talk to them in a club or something suddenly, they will give you the finger, even if they like you. They take care of themselves very much and they smell nice..Ahhhh (sorry i broke up lately and i'm starting to drool...Again. :P). Ah, blue eyes is very rare here.Usually brown. So luckily i have green eyes and i can get more woman!!!You know..1 every 3 years..I think i'm on fire,eh? :P Freedom!Free to break stuff, drink, smoke drive backwards, park on a non parking zone(well that's actually a non go because non parking zones are controlled by private companies and we get tickets :( ). A ministry tried to install some cameras on streets and there was a riot, cameras broken and never installed again..OUG!OUG! Gorillaz justice! :) Bouzoukia, clubing, sex on toilets, knowing people will get you in for free.0.0001% of the restaurants require tuxedo jacket. Lastly we have the best AC/DC crowd but we are 5000-1000 tops...Ok more :P Ah.The food, how can i forget..Non modified, tasty and non poisoned food...Best food i've eaten is Greece food and then maybe Italian. Also we know English (since most of the words are Greek, and yes most of the latino-saxo words have Greek roots).I've been to France and Italy (except Milan).Parlez vous Frances my left testicle! Greek Islandssss!!!!!!!!!!! Forget baseball,ok.Football.Panathinaikos rulez F#CK olympiakos! Anyway to make a long story sort if you have money to invest the you should come.If not better think twice, we are already crowded in Athens. And the waters on the beaches have no sharks and are not polluted.. The end.Don't kill me i'm drunk.

Great rant Sap, Greece sounds like a pretty hip place. My best friend of 29 years is from Greece and his stories are pretty much the same, except yours are more colorful. Right now I'm pretty set on Eastern Europe, it's basically an outlaws paradise.

My pick would be Dirty Deeds or Powerage. Dirty Deeds because that was the first AC/DC album I got, knowing a song on the album (I got back in black for christmas one year and didn't know any song off the album at first.) Then just fell in love with the entire album. Powerage because of how awesome it is. All songs on there are awesome, it brings out the great rhythm section that defines AC/DC songs. Being a drummer, and rhythm guitarist this helps alot. Only non good song on here is Gimmie A Bullet only because the others are better. I love the song but its just not better than the rest. So there are my two cents.

Dirty Deeds, so you're very close to Greece. Gotta ask you friend to guide you to some Greek Islands for Summer vacations. Won't regret it. I recommend Thera(Santorini) amazing view and sightseeing , Milos (best beaches), and for Party till you drop Mikonos and Paros. Ok sorry for spamming, off with the topic question.

I would like to know the reasons to emigrate and please focus entirely on Blond women :))

I would like to move to Austrailia, close to Melbourne. I sing part time in a AC/DC tribute band I formed called Ball/Breaker. Mostly do brian songs, a few bon songs here and there. Although do a hour set, and me fuckin voice hurts like hell from screaming. Just played a hour set a little bit ago.

donneyboy I reckon you should definitely move to Australia, then, because I think we need more AC/DC tribute bands here; we really do.

sapator!! good comments, Mate! I know we talk funny here, but so do our women, but a lot of them are Blue-eyed and blonde-haired with nice big firm but bouncy breasts! A real handful, so to speak! And apparently they're mad about Greek men! Are you tempted yet?!

Douglas i'm packing right now!! :() :P Aha, one reason not to move to Greece is that AC/DC tribute bands will gather 10-15 people in a gig.

Well i don't know. AC/DC are not very big here, although black ice was the first DC album that went no1. The majority listens to Maiden Metallica and Probably GNRoses and Bon Jovi. I can see as an example that the Greek gig gathered 50-55 thousand in a 75 thousand gig for probably the biggest rock band in the world at the time and a band that have never visited Greece again.Maiden pack the arenas here even if they come every 2 years,Madonna sold out in 2 days. The only rock band,if i'm not mistaken, that ever packed the OAKA stadium was Rolling Stones. Anyway maybe our eastern culture is strong to many of us cuz people that listens to rock-metal are probably 1 out of 15-20.

Hey donneyboy!! That's funny! So in other words, you prefer to have your hands full, but not your arms full!! Fair enough!! As far as I know, we only have one AC/DC tribute band here, and that's a band called Acca Dacca, would you believe! So yeah, like sapator, you're always welcome here in Australia, mate!!

So most of our favorite albums.... are largely ignored by the boys. Of course Powerage being an exception (thank god), but still... come on now.
