Angus, Malcolm, Bon, Cliff, And Phil are my favorite but really all the members they have brought in over the years have contributed nicely. They seem to know who they mesh well with.

The live line-up from 1983-1989 with Brian, Angus, Malcolm, Cliff and Simon Wright. I love how the band sounded back then and the songs they choose to play live.

Ang, Mal, Brian, Cliff and Phil. Producer: Rick Rubin Danger101: If Slade was the best... why did they go back to Phil? Slade is a great technical drummer, but he doesn't have the Phil groove. There's only one Phil Rudd. Oh yeah and Simon... he knew all the songs.

Oh yeah and jomek, don't be so quick to blame Phil for them not playing Slade/Simon era songs, Mal controls the setlist and maybe he just doesn't consider the songs from that era to be big enough hits.

Angus, Malcolm, Bon, Cliff, and Phil, though I do really love Mark on background vocals. But, you can just tell that Mark looks kind of out of place back there. Cliff is a really good fit. He looks like he belongs in AC/DC. And while I will always prefer Bon as frontman, I don't want to take anything away from Brian. On the current tour he is so fired up! The one time on this tour that I was pretty close to the stage, I felt like Brian was stealing the show from Angus! Also, it's awesome that they've currently got the same group that recorded BIB & FTATR.

suicidehummer: i meant to say he has no groove but your right Phil is better, but I prefer chris. And simon knowing all the songs is like knowing one because its mostly the same beat for everything

sendfortheman: Really? Mark didn't sing backing vocals? I knew that it was just Malcolm on the song Dirty Deeds, but I thought that Mark sang backing vocals on other songs. Can anyone confirm this?

I can see why Jomek. I think the only song they play that he didn't drum on is Thunderstruck.

But Really when Phil didnt record drum traks they probably wouldnt have changed too much. Im not saying Phil's a bad drummer hes great but play stuff that was recorded from 85-91. And they didnt kick chris out for phil they were discussing bringing phil back and chris couldnt wait any longer so he quit giving phil his job

jomek... that's just plain wrong. Chris did NOT quit. The band... well to say they fired him sounds like they hated him... let's just say he was laid off. Sap, I agree. Simon knew the songs and that's about it. he had no passion for the music whatsoever and he wasn't even a good drummer anyway. Chris was a great drummer... and I'd be lying if i said I didn't wonder what BB, SUL, and BI would sound like with him. But Phil is just THE AC/DC drummer. His style, attitude, and even looks just fit the band so well.

Suicidehummer i read that somewhere and i dont like phil at all as a drummer but im not going to give him shit he should just get over it and play songs from 83-91. who cares if he didnt record it it doesnt relly matter who recorded the guitars and vocals would have been the same

We don't know that it's Phil who won't play Simon/Chris Era songs. Maybe Mal just doesn't like anything from that era. Mal decides the setlists remember.

Mal decides the setlists but remember...It's not like Phil is afraid to kick his ass. They were ditching 80's songs before Phil even came back. FTATR was all but forgottan accept the title track after that tour, FOTS was all but forgotten after that tour, and the same for FOTW (WMW was technically the same tour).

Kick his ass? Why would Phil kick Mal's ass anyway? And you're right, they were dropping '80s songs during the '80s. Dropping Moneytalks though was a surprise.

Well, Phil did knock out Malcolm back in '83. It was meant as a joke, you know, Malcolm sez "Hey Phil, let's do Money Talks on this tour", Phil says "No", Malcolm says "I'm your boss...You do what I tell ya"...Phil then knocks out Malcolm and gets fired...again. Beware the Ruddercut!

LOL, you believe all those rumours? The only OFFICIAL story is that they fought (verbally) and Mal kicked Phil out the next day.

Ah, come on, a verbal arguement? Just look at Phil, he'll drop ya' and his cigarette of all ash won't even fall apart! I have no clue what really happened, I wasn't their...but it's funny as hell though if Phil did drop'em.

I don't think they would have kissed and made up if it came to fists. But who really knows. I'll ask Mal next time we chill. I do know Phil pushed his ex-wife off a boat or something like that over paying child support. He got off though on the grounds that any punishment would hurt his career too much.

Well, Malcolm's a business man and I believe understands the value Phil brings to the band. Fists or no fists...Money Talks.

I am so sick of the band forgetting everything from theBrian Johnson catalog. Why would they just neglect Ballbreaker and SUL in their live shows. They say that they do not want to be a greatest hits band but "damn" that setlist is hard to think otherwise

Never mind Who Made Who. What do they call that?
