Probably slower drumming, and being like the other albums.

Fly On The Wall would be a bit more simple, starting right off with the drum beat instead of having the pounding intro used on most Fly tracks. Who Made Who wouldn't have changed much, but the beat on D.T. would have been less complicated (not that it's all that difficult to play). Blow Up Your Video & The Razors Edge definitely would have been slower.

FOTW and BUYV I think would have been pretty much the same. I don't hear a lot of difference between Phil and Simon's technique other than Simon being a harder hitter and playing a little faster than Phil. TRE I believe would have been much, MUCH better. I like Chris's drumming on Live but his work on TRE puts me in a coma for being some of the most boring drumming I've ever heard. Come to think of it, I like Phil and all, but I want Simon back in AC/DC. It's not like he's doing anything with Dio at the moment.

i have to say the druming would be way diferent for fire your guns, mabe even are you ready, they would have had steadier slow pased beats, unlice slade who is fast and repetative. but they are both great.

The only one I think that would have been very different would be TRE. FOTS was not too different from FOTW so I think the Simon albums woudl be pretty much the same. TRE though would have less fills and the drums would be less "hey, listen to me!" if you know what I mean.

I wonder how would it sound to have Chris Slade in the 70's?

I retract my earlier statement about Chris Slade being a boring drummer. As much as I like Simon Wright live, his drumming on BUYV is terriblly boring. His work on FOTW is still up to par with Phil, but I would keep Phil in the band know.

dirty deeds, I can tell the difference very easily. Phil has a different hgh hat technique. It is very recognizable to me. The production is so bad on those 80s albums so it wouldnt matter if Phil was on them or not. Now, if Phil was on them and the production was great, we would be in for a treat. Could you imagine, Got You By the Balls with Rudd?

GoZone, I agree that the '80s albums were so awfully produced it wouldn't matter if Phil was on them. I though FOTS had Simon on it at first to be honest. But I don't think TRE songs would have been as good with Rudd only because the band took on a more metal sound for that album, which Phil wouldn't have mixed well with IMO.
