Monthly Newsletter

Hi folks As of last Friday, I've changed my full time job to a new company. The monthly newsletter has been sent out for the last few years using the product that I had worked on developing, but I was told I could keep my account even though I was leaving the company. As of today, I found out they are now discontinuing the software that sends out the newsletter sometime later this year and, even worse, closing down the building I used to work at here in Fargo (the parent company is based in ATL). So at some point this year, I won't be able to use it to send out the newsletters. I will be looking into email services to switch to, but may end up building something out myself. I will keep you all up to date on what I find, but did want to let you know that the newsletter could stop at just about any time. Nate

Nate, Prior to the cutoff, do you need the Riff Raff to send you individual emails with our email addresses so that the new installation of the newsletter can be sent out after the transfer or is that not necessary? Scotty from Detroit (acdc74)

No, no need. I pull a list of emails from the site's users before each newsletter goes out. Only problem is now I won't have the ability to send out HTML emails quickly or monitor unsubscribes, bounces, dead emails. So far, I've found a few services but they are pretty spendy, so we'll see what happens.
