May 29, 1978, Caird Hall, Dundee, Scotland: HELP ME FIND THIS SHOW!!!
Anyone know where to find this show?: AC/DC - May 29, 1978, Caird Hall, Dundee, Scotland 1. Riff Raff 2. Problem Child 3. Hell Ain't A BAd Place to Be 4. Gimme a Bullet 5. Bad Boy Boogie 6. Dog Eat Dog 7. The Jack 8. High Voltage 9. Whole Lotta Rosie 10. Let There Be Rock 11. Rocker Note: Only possible recording of Gimme a Bullet LIVE!
I popped a big stiffy myself when I saw that setlist but I believe that that is a tour rehearsel set. Sort of like the FOTS tour rehearsels with Nervous Shakedown on them.
No, It was actual gig. It does exist, but only as a master tape...
Then someone, somewhere must have the master tape and must be convinced to digitize it and share it online.
uh huh! as ive said before, whomever has this has a coupla options available to them as i see it; 1 Given the amount of clamouring online for this boot, maybe just maybe they have realised just how valuable it is and possibly theyre sitting on it, waiting for an offer,or possibly they are gonna manufacture a cd/vinyl boot themselves 2 possibly its sitting gathering dust in someones attic, a lot happens in 30+ years, people grow up, have families, mortgages etc. priorities change. Possibly they have forgotten they have it 3 given it was 1978 and probably a c90 tape, its possible the tape has perished, maybe its been lost, loaned out and never came back? OR possibly taped over,OR my own fave from the days of tape, eaten by the tape machine Possibilities are endless and a lotta people have been after this for a lotta years with no joy so far, so have patience people, experience seems to dictate, your all gonna need a lot of it!!
OR!!!! If you were really smart, you would/could try and find out what the local newspaper is for Dundee and place a classified ad, BUT one thing I will remind you of....... DEMAND FAR OUTWEIGHS THE SUPPLY AT PRESENT!!! OR simply put, you advertise your desire for something, you are already on the back foot when it comes to negotiation,Why should the owner of this recording part with it? and HOW MUCH do you want it? HOW MUCH are you willing to pay for it? Remember this is Scotland your talking about in a recession, if this thing still exists, its worth a fortune and in my opinion whoever has it knows this only too well. Good Luck, yer gonna need loads of it
Trust me, the person who has it knows they have it. They are just sitting on it til the time is right...
in my opinion thats probably the case but only time will tell, and IF its still out there, interest WILL wane sooner or later, and the $£$£ will decrease dramatically.
i know exactly who has that 1 as well as carlisle '78,but will not do anything with it at this time.
can you at least share who it is. I have ways of making him share...
sorry, but unless he says it's ok for me to tell who he is,i can not. he's been bothered by many others about it including myself & i been trying for over 10 years to get a copy of them from him now.
I know if this one ever became available by the person who has this (along with Carlisle 1978) and they decided to sell, it would have a hefty price. I would rather see it go to someone who can make some use to it like NP or others who could transfer the recording to vinyl or cd, allowing others to share the music from these 2 shows. After all, does not do any tape good just sitting there collecting dust and grime, especially the length of time we are talking about here which will only deteriorate a tape the longer it sits. Sad some people just sit on this thinking they have 'the holy grail' of all recordings, only to find out the recording they are sitting on may not be of any use to anyone if it is damaged or shot to acts of nature (age, weather, etc.).
