yes they do, i know 2 people who have them but will not trade them due to promises they made & they are both highly respected collectors & would not lie about such things.
I don't understand why people hold out on things like that. Why make someone promise that they won't share it with others? I just don't get it.
why do these people need to hold out on sharing rare AC/DC instead of making it available for everyone?
That would be a great disc to have. Hopefully at some point I can run across a copy of it. "The Furor" alone makes it worth the search.
i feel the same way,but as any of you know who been collecting for quite some time,when a promise is made,it must be kept otherwise you may cut yourself out of getting any other stuff later down the line from that person & also from any other collectors since they know that you can't keep your word on anything.
Try and work a deal out with said person, where he releases a lower quality version or 1 or 2 songs to prove its real.

been there,done that,but no luck. i have recieved a few tidbits from same person i'm referring to in the past,but can't share again because of the promise made. & trust me,THEY ARE REAL.
If it is on cd, somebody has to rapid share it. Would love to hear Big Gun, and The Furor
aint noone gunna get these, unless the wrong person gets them, stuff like this can cause controversy, like when someone leaked the let there be rock african acetates, its true stuff like this is a secret for the same reason any other secret is a secret, because if everyone knew it wouldnt be a secret, and dont think its npt fair, its not like these rehearsals were just handed to them

well,i can't agree with that 1 dd&mt, there's no amount of money that will make me sell out my friends. without friends,money means nothing to me at all. there's no secret brotherhood that i know of,just some collectors that were asked not to give certain things out at this point in time. but please let me know when you buy them from whomever & just how much you had to spend fot them,;-)

Hey guys i just had a conversation in e-mails with the man who recorded it he's a nice bloke, he told me why those tapes never made it on to the internet and its because they have been chewed up in a tape player he only sold one of those tapes and hasn't heard of the show since
Bottom line, if they even exist, there's always going to be someone who is willing to play ball and others who won't. Either way that's their choice, I'm just going to keep my eyes and ears open in record circles for them now that I know there's a chance that they may exist. No serious record collector is going to swear an oath over something this ridiculous unless they swore it to Brian, Angus, Malcolm, Cliff or Phil themselves and one of those five gave it to them as a personal gift. Enough with the cloak and dagger bullshit, the search begins.
maybe, just maybe these tapes found there way into the "public" domain,and I use the term public loosely,from an employee of the band, soundman, roadie etc. might just be the case, given that ac/dc, have a habit of keeping the same crew for years,that someones job is being protected! Its a possibility that depending on quality, these recordings are directly traceable. A lot of ifs, buts and maybes I know but at the end of the day,until anything surfaces we wont know, probably not even then. 20yr+ of collecting and sarching and I aint found them or the Caird Hall 78 recordings yet, Good Luck searching Be Well Dave

It aint hard to work out people, if you fuck a source over, your supply from them in future is zilch and as a RECORD COLLECTOR (not mp3s,cdrs etc),but Records from back in the day when boots were big $$, your reputation and your word was what got you what wanted eventually.
That's all flowery and nice daclarob but I'm more inclined to believe that it's a case of running up the value of the tapes due to making them scarce. I've spent enough time moving around in record collector circles (since the early 90's) to know that a persons word is meaningless in comparison to cold, hard cash. Especially when it comes to something this rare (if it even exists). Sooner or later EVERY record collector breaks when the price is right. ...and as far as this roadie, groupie, sound guy or whatever he or she may be that leaked these supposed tapes, he or she should have thought about losing their job before they ever pulled the trigger on letting these things out in the first place. Our whole business is based on getting our hands on stuff that bands DID NOT release officially and all of a sudden there's supposed to be honor among thieves. *Oh, by the way, if anyone wants the African Acetates without them being fucked with (as nightprowler1226 said he did)...let me know.* Have a Nice Day! ;-)
dd&mt, you're a joke,& a bad 1 at that. trust me,no one has a perfect copy of them(african acetates),i didn't transfer them from vinyl(yeah,i own the actual acetates) to any lossless format,mp3 only & besides,don't know how many times i've said this already,but i don't give a rats ass about those circulating anymore,that's an old story,just like this thread has now become. now i'm gonna go listen to some rehersals that you don't have,;-). have a nice day,douche bag,LMMFAO!! p.s.-check out the new bon boot in the advertising section on here,;-)
