Dallas Texas 1985 Video's
I've made LIVE "music videos" so far from this show for SInk The Pink and Shake Your Foundations This show has, in my opinion, the best version's available of these songs.I think they sound better than the Austin Texas bootleg, and it's really good. I used video from different concerts to make these videos.Hope you guys like them... Enjoy!!!
These are definetly the best versions of these songs live, and since they've never been released "officially", it's as best as were gonna' get. Good work on the videos.
I'm glad you guys like them,I really love this era and thought this would help show just how great it was.To me the Dallas and Austin Texas sound boards have the best sound from the Fly On The Wall Tour,Dallas being the best, even though incomplete. I would kill for Fly On The Wall from the Dallas show, but it hasn't surfaced... Jailbreak from this show was just released on Backtracks,so they are aware of it's existence. Now If we only had some Pro-Shot video we'd have it made, Should I do more videos from this era the same way or no? I need some feedback if you guys don't mind -Cheers
Yeah, totally, any videos from Back in Black through Who Made Who would be welcomed by me for sure. Do you think you could do one with Dirty Deeds from the 1983 Joe Louis Arena show?
You mean dub the '83 Joe Louis Arena Dirty Deeds Video with the version from Austin Texas?
@flickofthethunderdeeds If you want me to be completely honest, I am not a fan of these dubs that you are doing. I appreciate all the effort and it is pretty cool but my main gripe is people on the internet may start flooding all of these videos and pass them off as legit. There are already enough fake bootlegs out there. However, I am a fan of you using better quality audio and overdubbing it onto the real video. I just don't like the audio from one concert dubbed onto a different video simply because of purity issues. The main project IMO that you should be working on is overdubbing the Jailbreak audio onto the video for the 'Rollin' Bolan" show from 7/13/76. Have you got the audio for that (non-studio)? I have the Jailbreak audio so I could send you it and then you can see what you can do. Let me know.
I get what you're saying but these two songs I couldn't pass up,I mean not only are LIVE video's of them very scarce but good quality audio boots are too. These are simply due to the incredible quality of the recordings, they're perfect,I wanted to match video with them. It's pretty hard to match up different show's audio with a different show's video,I wouldn't worry about a flood of fakes. I mean it's not extremely complicated but it's also not as easy as you'd think it is, Also,I planned on just video's from the '85 - '86 (with a few exceptions) being dubbed,I see no reason to Dub the '83 Joe Lois Arena Dirty Deeds due to it has great audio already. I usually only dub videos that have poor audio and no greater audio available to fix it. Like Shoot To Thrill from Largo '81 I recently did,the audio was cutting out and not very good,I dubbed it with a similar sounding boot to fix it. Until a better quality Boot of the Largo concert is available that's the best audio for that video. So you see,I only do stuff that doesn't have good audio quality. Also,I've tried to do the Rollin' Bolan Jailbreak dub, it just won't match up, My theory is,the band played it LIVE and it was longer than the studio version,(the end extends a little longer) Due to editing the video was shortened to fit the studio track and then we get the video you see today. So we end up with video that's not long enough to fit our Jailbreak bootleg. I can try to do it again, but I can't promise anything,it's very hard to do,unless I do it like I did one of my Sink The Pink boot's I synced it up with the music video, but it was very tedious and difficult. An example of what the Rollin' Bolan will be if I can do It... Sink The Pink LIVE 1-13-1986
Basically, AC/DC need to get their heads out of their asses and give us what we really want and complete shows instead of the half assed stuff they did on Plug Me In. They release Live Wire and CISNTYG from Rollin' Bolan on Plug Me In but do not give us the true live Jailbreak. They give us 4 songs from St. Albans and you know damn well there are more in the archives. They do this shit all the time and it really pisses me off.
so acdc74,i take it you think that the backtracks & this new ironman 2 thing is pure bullshit also then? LOL!!
@nightprowler, I like Backtracks but I already had all the songs as .mp3s. I like that I have the best sounding versions now on CD so I had to buy it. I definitely didn't like the price tag but I had to buy it anyway especially for the Circus Krone DVD. The coffee table book is pretty sweet I have to admit. As for the Iron Man 2 thing....complete garbage and a waste of money but I do like the fact that there are some great songs on there like Evil Walks.
I agree that they should release full shows instead of a few tracks here or there.I'd love to have a great quality version of Largo '81 Instead of just the tracks they decide to put out
@acdc74 well,i thought the backtracks was pretty much a joke, nothing other than the book that i didn't have already on vinyl or dvd.only reason i bought it the deluxe set up for was to keep the vinyl collection complete. as for the iron man 2 deal i found that to be the biggest piece of shit they have ever released. yeah, the tracks are good, but who on here doesn't have them a few times over already? they should have at least added 1 new track, but instead they decided to milk the fans for all they're worth this time round & i refuse to buy it even if it means my vinyl collection isn't complete without it.
@flickofthethunderdeeds Yeah, or you could use the '85 Dallas audio. I have a feeling if you don't some people are going to lose sleep over you crossing the streams. ;-)
@Dirty Deeds and Money Talks Is that what you asked me to do? I'm a bit confused, lol I can do '83 Joe Louis Arena with '85 Dallas dub if that's what you meant
You got it, '83 audio with '85 footage. However, if you want to use the '85 audio with the '85 footage that's cool also. It's been awhile since I listened to that version of DDDDC from Dallas, so when I think of the early 80's I think of the '83 version.
