When Was the first time you saw AC/DC live?
When did you first time you saw AC/DC live? First time for me was Toronto Rocks in 2003, was bloody amazing. So when did you see them live for the first time?
Edit the first time I saw them live was in Madison, WI in May 2001
hey daclarob,we were pretty close to seeing them at the same time, October 16, 1979 -- State College, Towson, MD donneyboy, due to your "correction" above & past ventures,i don't buy it for a minute that you ever seen ac/dc in concert,no one could ever mess up on when they 1st seen ac/dc live
November 17, 1983, Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, Michigan. STILL the best concert I have ever seen and will ever see. NP and Dave (daclarob) - - you lucky bastards to have seen Bon. VERY JEALOUS.
@ acdc74, yeah,we were very lucky to see bon live, but wish i could have seen him alot more than once,i was only 9 years old at the time & over the years, some of the memories has faded, but i do have some pictures from that towson show from a 110 camera i had(remember those things? damn it,now i feel old,LOL!!).
18th April 2009 in Dublin. Was a great! Took my gf saw a few sites round Dublin on the saturday and the concert at night.
my first show was in Minneapolis's Met Center in 1991. AMAZING!
yeah my mad cuz came back on leave from the army, he was based in Germany at the time and he basically told my mum"I was goin,"the boy likes Slade n Queen N Quo, so he's gonna see this lot too!!", best present a relative ever got me!! Mind you a 9 yr old in the Cradle of Rock that was the Apollo, jesus, the thought terrifies me now, thank god i was a big lad then as well,5'11. Honestly dont know if i would let my kids do that nowadays. In all honesty all I can remember was the sheer power, and the noise!,and the feeling that THIS IS IT. Do remember laughing at Angus( I was only young!!, no pun intended) and thinkin Bon had the WHOLE place in the palm of his hand. Looking back tho',im so glad I saw Bon,it was a different band with him,no disrespect to Brian but AC/DC were and are Bons band, even Angus is quoted as saying "Bon added the flavour to the band",andwithout him you wouldnt have had BIB,or the subsequent 30 years. Yeah Np, the same here, wish he hadnt gone out that February night, dude died WAAAY to early, but you know what they say.... The brightest stars burn for the shortest time Wish I had seen him a few more times but hey the best video I have of AC/DC with Bon, plays perfectly well in my h=minds eye,and it has all the accompanying sensory memories too, smells, marijuana in the air, beer under the feet, getting pushed n shoved about , hardly bein able to breath in the mass up at the front. Great days, far better than these bloody enormo domes now where we see a speck about a 1/4 mile away. ps ya aint old bud, like wine or cognac we have matured!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uXu067MTqI&feature=related cos things could never be this powerful for ever!! http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=EE7C6DF349DF442A&search_query=acdc+towson+1979
August 5, 1979 in Philadelphia, PA – With 19,000 screaming fans. What a killer show they blew Ted Nugent away!!! I was hooked Bon and Angus were incredible. 1) Live Wire 2) Problem Child 3) Sin City 4) Highway to Hell 5) Bad Boy Boogie 6) The Jack 7) Rocker Encore 8) If You Want Blood
My first show was in Mexico City, November 12, 2009. It was a killer show. ...I hope they come back again. I feel courage when i think about the Ballbreaker Tour because i was only 2 years old (Damned!!) and, well, in those two gigs in Mexico they played various of my favorites songs ever (like : Girls Got Rhythm,Ballbraker,Hail Caesar!!,etc.etc.) :( Things happened for a reason...jeje Well, Good Luck Everybody and sorry for my bad english. (i'm still learning it) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "IS HE GOD ? , NO,YOU PRICK, IT'S NAME IS BON SCOTT" (or something like that...) R.B.S. 1946 - 1980 We really miss you...Badly.
Charlotte NC 12/18/2008 was my first show it was amazing i could had seen shows on SUL or Ballbreaker, in NC but i was to young, and razors edge tour happend the year i was born.

my first was in 2008.....but my uncle saw them in 81' and 83' at the rosemont horizon in Chicago.....lucky. And some person that saw me with an AC/DC shirt on when i was getting a hair cut saw them open for Foghat in 1978....also down the street my neighbor saw them twice on the razors edge tour..and my other neighbor saw them in Minnesota during the FTATR tour.
23. 3. 2009. Budapest, That was the best day of my life!
July 12, 1991 - Madison Square Garden I was 16 at the time and I can't remember if it was this show, or the Clash of the Titans show, that was the first show I saw in The Garden. Then again, the Clash of the Titans show might have been Nassau Coliseum.
My first show was in London, March 12th 1988. Cheers & Good Rockin' Bernat.
Palace of Auburn Hills, Nov 5, 2008 Hello Cleaveland!
I was supposed to be at the July 1980 show at MLG in Toronto but i was sick as a dog and did not see them until December 15, 1983 at MLG. My only regret is not seeing BON, they were here in T.O. on June 12, 1979 and i completely missed out on that. FUCK !!!
Sap u lucky bitch. What were you thinking when you heard those first two chords of Ride On?
I first saw them on 10/15/83 in Tacoma, WA. Some moron set the roof of the Tacoma Dome on fire with a flare during "This House Is On Fire". This was the first concert EVER in the Tacoma Dome. It had opened just a couple of months prior. I have been fortunate enough to see them every time they have played the Seattle/Tacoma area since.
Jun 14, 1991 Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, CA After being obsessed with AC/DC for 3 years,it was truly surreal to actually see the band in person. I think my head almost exploded when Angus jumped down and started running around. Shows were great before everybody had the internet. I remember when the Ballbreaker tour came around, and I expected them to open with Hard as a Rock, and they played Back in Black instead. I had no idea what to expect.
May 6, 1988 @ the Worcester Centrum, MA I was 17 and just missed them in Glens Falls for the FOTW tour in '85. I was then lucky enough to see them in Holland on TRE tour and again when they headlined the Monsters of Rock Festival, then a total of 13 more times with my last show being in Montreal Aug '09. Unfortunately, probably the last...

suicidehummer i was heading to the exit walking fast to catch a train after For those and i heard warm up sounds and stopped.I said, "encore?!?" and then it was Ride On but i did not understand it until the "It's another lonely evening",probably due to the impossibility of hearing that song . Eventually i ended running forward holding my head screaming "what the fuck!what the fuck!"(in Greek the exact words were"Oxi re pousti mou oxi re pousti mou!") and the Frenches were looking at me like i'm some kind of monster.Of course most off them didn't know what the Hell was that song. But i wish i could have seen Bon too.
my first show was in frankfurt, germany on 25th march 2009.
LOL Sap that would have probably been my reaction as well! erudite: Agreed. And to think they actually changed the setlist up back then! How ironic that nowadays when we can find out the setlist long before we see them, they don't change it!
28th Jan 2010 but my uncle saw them in 1991 and 1996 (dont know what dates)
my first and only show to date was December 2nd, Bs As, Argentina
So far my first ( and only :-/) time to see ac/dc was in January 2009. It was great, the into video was the most sereal moment of my life. It will always hold a place in my heart. However it probability will be my only time to see them live, due to the fact that this is probability their last tour
I first saw AC/DC in December 1976 in Brisbane. I met the guys after the show, a memory I will have forever!
i saw them the first time in 2009 in frankfurt, germany.
I kept my concert virginity for AC/DC and what a band to lose it too. They were great. I lost it at ANZ Stadium, Sydney on 18th February, 2010 and it has been 51 days since. The best moment was when they came out and I saw Angus running around I couldn't move. Then to top it off Brian comes a long at points at us. My jaw dropped. It was amazing. Time went so fast while seeing them. Best thing I have ever done, better than sex.
