Detroit 1983 Audio
I'm sure you know that the performance of "Guns For Hire" on "Plug Me In" has been dubbed with another show. Does anyone know what that show is? And also I was wondering, why would they dub it when they have perfect audio of that show (Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, 18/11/83)? Thanks.
No idea what show they dubbed the Detroit show with, but you can find the true audio on "Backtracks" and, if you're lucky, those hard-to-find singles.
it's not dubbed. And if it is dubbed, then the Backtracks is also dubbed, they're exactly the same but with a little different sound.
No their not the same. Listen to the one on backtracks and then the one on plug me in. You can especially hear that the guitar solo's are different and in the beginning of the video on plug me in, when Angus is doing all his riffs, his hand is in the air for about a second while the audio indicates he is still playing. It's a bit like that "invisible microphone" incident during back in black on the Donington dvd. Also the last note of the guitar solo is a low note on the dvd and a high note on backtracks.
So, did you watched Show Business from Family Jewels? It's the same thing. Maybe they didn't have the complete scene, maybe they had editing mistakes.
Yeah, show business is pretty obvious that it's been tampered with. I played Plug Me In & the Backtracks audio of that song and they are different. Brian hits different notes, say's extra stuff like "yeah", etc.
Yes, I've just heard it and the solo is a little different. Who knows what happends inside the walls of...SONY -Turn on next week to more of "The Dubbers", same channel, same time.
Show Business was not tampered with, it was mixed in the first place to look like Angus was doing the solos rather than Mal for some reason.
Look closely and you can see that they have replaced parts of the video with other parts of the concert maybe the video was damaged or something? Cheek out the beginning when Bon is introducing the song, they are all playing their instruments and Bon's not even talking into the microphone at some parts. Also have a look at 1:46 , Bon's nowhere near the mic. It's the "Invisible Microphone" all over again.
Bon dubbed it? c'mon!!! it's just a video mix with sh*** audio.
No, it hasn't been dubbed with new audio, the have just changed the video.
You should use my sarcasm detector, man. lol...(no offense intended)
Clearly, as I said, the video was edited (badly, I might add) to make it look like Angus is playing lead. The audio is fine.
you can tell it's a video mix because right at the start when Bon says "blabla "Show Business" they are actually playing at the moment
uhg one recording of from the 17th, the other is from the 18th see?
Yeah, NOT dubbed... Plug Me In states 17/18th Backtracks states the 18th... So It's fairly obvious Plug Me In must be the 17th due to the differences in recordings Gerbile3's right
Well here are the video's, one from Plug Me In and another from MTV which has the "original audio". Note that the last note of the guitar solo is different on both videos and there are some other minor differences that you can discover yourself. Plug Me In video: MTV video:
The only thing I can guess is that the audio on Plug Me In is from the 17th and the video is from the 18th
So does that mean the MTV video has audio from the 18th?
Thats what I think as the MTV audio is the same as the one on Backtracks
