Liverpool Nov. 5th & 6th 1979
I wonder if someone could help me out regarding the Liverpool concerts in November of 79. I downloaded one marked Nov. 5th, 79 a few weeks ago from the hub. A Few days ago I downloaded one marked Nov. 6th, 79. They turned out to be the exact same show but with differences in the quality and set list. The first one (5th) has is "louder" than the second (6th) so I assume it is a better generation copy. The second one (6th) has the last song, "Let There Be Rock" (incomplete at 1:10 seconds), which the first one (5th) was missing. I have kept the first one (5th) and put the incomplete "Let There Be Rock" in the file. Now the problem here is that I don't know if the one I have is actually the 5th or the 6th. Member Livewire has this to say on the description of the Nov. 6th, 79 show on the Venue Listing page on this site: "I got this labeled as Nov 5, but after searching and asking info from many people I'm almost 100% sure that this is the Nov 6 show as I have labeled this". Because of this, I am labeling the one I kept as Nov. 6th, 1979, unless anyone can tell me otherwise. On the one that I have Bon mentions "Liverpool" after "Shot Down In Flames" (right before "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be"). Does anyone have both Liverpool 79 concerts and know for a fact that they are different shows? Thanks!
sounds like you already confirmed that they are both the same show by listening to the chatter in between songs.. I (supposedly) got 11/6/79 from dimeadozen. quality is kind of weak. LTBR is only 1:10 after "Shot Down In Flames" Bon mentions...back in Liverpool....You alright tonight..... I'll have to check out what badboyboogie.de has to say..
jrbungeetroll, That's correct. I've listened to the between song chatter and know for a fact that the ones I've downloaded are the same show, with the differences mentioned in my above post. Like you, the one that I got that was "weak" included the incomplete LTBR and the one that was better did not. I'd like to find out the proper date. As I stated in my above post, I've labeled the one I've kept as being Nov 6th based on member Livewire's inquiries. Also, if you do have both, are they different shows?
just got the one... Anybody on the hub got an opinion???
