hey guys, im in search of a bit of help, i have an ipod that is nearly useless, due to me not ejecting this thing properly my ipod is what i call "crashed" the music no longer shows up on the ipod (I.E. the menu screen says "no music", videos etc.) the music however is still on the harddrive, the memory is still full and i can listen to the music if i have it plugged in and hack the folder open, anyway if i try to do anything to restore the ipod, it basically freezes up and whatever im using it for (doing searches, or trying to copy folders on the disk to my computer) i am at this point trying to reset it to factory settings, and no the ipod will not read in either media monkey or itunes or any recovery program, if anyone knows about this i would really appreciate it, cant stand listening to the radio hahahahahahaha

Did you rest it by pressing the menu button and the circular button below it... hold for 5-10 seconds it will reset and you should be able to use it again... It's happened to my Ipod classic about 3 times now... Good Luck

I had that exact problem years ago with my 4gb iPod Nano. I let it sit in my room for about a year because I couldn;t get it to work. So,one day I decided to mess with it and all I did was update my iTunes and I assume it updated my iPod's firmware. So,maybe that's what's wrong with yours, see if there is an update available for it,if not I have no idea man. -Cheers
