because, flattus, you are passive on the hub, you cant connect with other passive users, but you can connect to active users

I have run into a problem connecting to Passive users of the Hub because I installed a Netgear wireless router. Seems there is some issue with DC++ and routers regarding firewall/port forwarding/ip address. I had to change my setting to Passive and can now only connect to Active users. I found a page that explains how to fix the situation but it seems very tricky (at least to me). I wonder if any computer wiz kid has encountered this problem and can maybe help me out in fixing it. Thanks.

Well once I got my new router I changed to active, are you on passive or active?

Right now I'm on Passive. I was on Active but then I just had one computer on a cable modem and no router. Once the router was set up I could no longer connect to other users so I had to go to Passive. Then I was able to connect to users who are on Active but not to Passive users. Funny thing is that when I tried other hubs I could not connect to users on Active or Passive.

WhaT I did was type in my ip address in my browser and it brings you to the lynksis website cause thats the brand I use, then it asks for the account password then you set it up to run with dc ++ so the prots reconize that its there.
